let's say, you have a laptop. on this laptop, you have the lowest privileges account, and just aren't pleased with this. there is an admin account, but you havent got the password. You can't reset it, because the person who has the admin account would notice. Any way to reveal the pw, or to increase your low-security account to a higher level without the admin pw?
I think you can download a linux distro that will fit on a disk. You boot it on a disk and then download some files from your c:\windows directory, and then run a program on it to crack it. Its pretty easy and straight foward. I bet a google search would help lots.
hmm... might not work but you could try booting to safe mode and logging is as an admin and than change it thru the control panel. im not too good with win2k otherwize... ide say its not possible
try this: tell whoever is admin that the computer had a virus so you had to reformat it and you decided to put windows XP on it... cause if you get windows xp I can tell you how to change your privaledges. hehe.
can't use the astalavista one, "...utility allows to set/reset the password of the administrator user,..." resetting the pw isn't an option, then the admin [the ass dad] in this case, would notice.
