    The right wing nationalistic attitudes of the German-speaking Swiss.

    why? I came to the conclusion that having avoided the second world war there is an obsession with the possibility of 'chaos' and thus everybody must toe the line and behave as a little Swiss....no room for anyone who sticks their head above the parapet.
