Kevin Durant is not coming back this season if his calf strain is in fact an Achilles injury like many people have speculated.

We'll see, it would be ideal if the Warriors got Kevin Durant, Demarcus Cousins and Andre Iguodola back for the Finals.

  15. I just think this is some weird shit. My "ethnicity estimate"?!?!?!!? It just sounds so Orwellian.

^ in all fairness the Orwellian part is voluntarily handing over your DNA to a private company :p

(Not making fun, i'm going to do my dna results one of these days too)

    Okay...Let's see.....

Hubby is doing okay. He starting having some of his weird "brain snaps" yesterday but I think he is better today. The antibiotic is doing some nice healing of the sore on his hip. He still complains about the blood pressure medicine but he found a dosing schedule he thinks he can live with. He's gone no carbs hoping to lower his blood sugar.

After finally getting to speak to my oldest brother on the phone, he won't be fully honest with me about the episode that landed him in the hospital. He got home, his son and family have been staying with him. He was unable to walk to the bathroom by himself but got a walker to help. He says he needs oxygen and will phone his regular doctor to see if he can get some. He says the hospital told him the same thing that he's been told for 10 years. "He's smoked too much. He drank too much. And he's 70-something years old". I noticed how weak and slurred his speech was, and how he is a little "loopy" so I asked him if they'd said he had a slight stroke, or if it was maybe some medication he was taking. He said it wasn't - that it was because his mouth gets dry when he talks. So, I'm relieved to have spoken to him, yet I'm still greatly concerned about him. However, there's not much I can do for him.

I was concerned for several days about my next oldest brother because I couldn't get him on the phone. He lives by himself but he is very dependent on our oldest brother to keep him instructed about what he needs to do every day, etc. We believe he had a stroke many years ago that left his thinking addled. I finally spoke to him yesterday and he seems to be doing okay with the situation. He lives closer to me so I can go to check on him if need be.

This situation with our oldest brother(s) has caused my younger brother and I to do lots of catching up on the phone. It's wonderful. We grew up as best friends but life caused some separation. I noticed, since speaking to him on the phone several times, that we frequently speak the same words at the same time finishing each other's sentences. Lol, the triplets don't even do that. It's very special to me.

My uncle passed away on Sunday. He lived to be 85 years old but his family is more close-knit that lots of families. His wife, son, 3 daughters, all the spouses and children, and grandchildren are crushed. It's a sad time in that respect.

All my brood are doing well and were winners at their ball tournaments over the weekend.

Ugh, I almost forgot that yesterday, I had to take one of the outdoor cats, and her 3 surviving kittens, to be put down. They were very sick - one of the kittens having already died. That mother cat has some feline thing that she passes to her kittens and none of her last couple of litters have survived. We couldn't take it anymore, watching the little ones die one by one.

My tummy is lots better. :) I just have to get my hip and leg to quit raising hell with me.

I think that covers most everything for me.

    How are y'all?

Don't do it. The results are false and geared to entice you to "learn" more about who you are. And by "learn" I mean pay.

I've had a cousin do this test and the results were blatantly pathetic and false. She paid more money and apparently some of our family moved to America (also false) and they let her pay for ancestry books that followed our surname (highly made up and false and not accurate).

My cousin did this because our family has Avery extensive history and our mother's keep over a 600+ year history of who we are, so we wanted to see how accurate it was. It wasn't and the more money my cousin paid the more bogus and rediculous it all got. Completely made up books and rubbish.

The figures and stats of our families surname was generically made up that we also decided to pay for a different book with a slightly different variation of surname and we were produced with the exact same book with the exact same figures under that variation. :tearsofjoy:

    Don't kid yourself, it's a business.

Taking Public Transportation around today. Going to drop by the library and get some code practice in, then I'm feeling like just taking a bus or trolley without a planned destination and ride it until I find something that captures my fancy.
