hiphop is the reason for the confusion over the term "dro" i love hiphop and all so this isnt anti-rap. ive heard numerous people on here call their nicer nugs "dro" and heard dealers use the same term. "dro" is hydroponically grown maryjane, not especially potent, just a growing method. ive never heard the term dro in a rock song or any other music genre besides rap. numerous song by 50 cent. the song 24's by T.I. the song shorty wanna ride by young buck. I been seeing alot of people using hte term dro to refer to thier premium nugs since i been back and was really bored so i decided to clarify and get some opinions.
true dat my holmez but most rap especially the rappers you listed suck. they rap about nonsense listen to some underground rappers who actual have talent like immortal technique ( great political rap) dead prez cage ( eminem stole his style from this guy or so i heard) eyedea and abilities ( great white rapper wooo , very emotional raps)
I usualy hear it refered to as hydro, only occasionaly shortned to dro. I think confusion stem from the fact that commonly, hydroponic techniques are used to grow good bud. Who would waste them time on crap weed?

I'm feeling ya. In the past few months the misuse of the word "dro" or "hydro" has become my biggest Internet pet peeve... probably biggest period. And I see it here, on OG, and even the damn car forum lounge I surf. And every time I see it I want to be able to punch that person in the face and yell "You stop being retarded!". Now, I do not have the "hookup", and if I ever did it was always schwaggity. I just harvested my very first grow. For God's sake I don't even own a quality piece of glass, just a frickin 12" hot pink acrylic. But I have known for years how to use the word hydro.
most awesome weed is hydroponically grown anyway, so it doesnt really matter, the few times you do get good earthgrown weed

Hydroponically grown weed is not nessecarily good. In my opinion it is for greedy, selfish people, who dont care what kind of chemicals there pot is grown with. Growing hydroponically, put simply, is substituting dirt for something inert (like a sponge, although you dont use it) and you literally feed the plant the nutrients by hand. Your giving the plant Nitrogen, Pottasium, and Phosphorous, by themselves. Instead of letting the plant grow in organic soils, absorbing nutrients through natural processes. Therefore the plants grow at an accelerated rate, but also have large amount of fertilizer in the manicured buds. The plants grow big, and yield alot, but the buds generally taste ferty. Hydropinics is a method of growing for people that do it solely for profits, and dont respect the plant. But there is nothing sweeter tasting than a bud grown organically with the utmost care given to the plant. Sorry about this rant. I get testy.
haven't had hydro in a long time. remember it being pretty good though. i think you can grow good hydro buds. but i agree, nothing beats great organic buds from someone who really knows what they're doing.
