ok, who else loves that man? don't know who he is? i shall enlighten. on a lot of beatles tracks there are sitar parts. he did them. he also taught george harrison and john lennon to play sitar. he is a god. a superior being to the rest of us. until recently, both me and my dad assumed him dead (he's oooooold now) but i found out he is doing a gig on 21st of june at manchester's bridgewater hall. if you're a fan of ravi shankar, a fan of indian music in general, or just feel like going...... GO!!
You find out something new every day heh. I think he's pretty cool. I've got a couple of his compilation albums, 'From Dusk To Dawn' and 'Master Of Sitar'.
You can bet your bottom Euro that amazon.co.uk or .com have it. I bought mine in Virgin Megastores in Manchester, which has now closed down eek. But check out Amazon.
yeah... it kinda sucks that that one closed down, but it was ridiculous how many record shops are on market street... there's 2 HMV's for smeg's sake! i'll find it some day...
he is an amazing sitar player, he sure has a gift. i highly doubt he's a superior being to the rest of us, we're all created equal jaz
no you are wrong mr delorean! he is divine! he is a man of godlike sagacity! ok maybe not - but he does rock my socks
