mercury vapor are practicly useless, as they have a poor spectrum for growing and use too much electricity.

-Wow.... ! ^ -I've never herd any of that but from what Ive read on MV lamps points me to the conclusion that their useless for growing. -From what I remember of them from somewhere, -things seem to take on an eeri pallor under their light. -I seem to remember them from school somewheres. -Kinda like theres light there, but there aint.

It will work but the yield will be poor.
They are not efficient and you are using more electric
than you would with Metal Halide equivalent.
OK for really small tight spaces on a budget.

I think this guy is a bit up in the clouds.... I bought the MV light from a gardening supplies store... which MV lights may not be the best for Marijuana, but they still are made for "growing." All i know is ever sinice i put the light on the plants, the leaves have been gettting greener.... the leaves are getting bigger.... and its starting to look very very nice... :H

"Wonderlite is a unique, full spectrum light bulb with peaks in the blue, red and far-red wavelengths, which promotes healthy and vigorous plant growth."

I pulled that off the site i bought the light from..... the light may bot be good for flowering.. but it will work for the vegatative state....

    Quoted from Overgrow:

(MV) MERCURY VAPOUR LAMPS - The oldest member of the HID family, mercury vapour lamps work by arcing electricity through mercury vapour. While more efficient than incandescent, halogen and fluorescent lamps, mercury vapour lamps are the least effective of the entire HID family. This, combined with an improper colour spectrum for horticultural applications, makes mercury vapour lamps a poor choice for a grow light.

Mercury vapor light will produce low yielding but potent plants.
