I'm afraid there will always be confusion as to which pronouns to use, though. And if we ever get it straight, calling certain men and women she and he, someone transexual girl will come along and say, "How dare you call me a him?!" Or some transexual man. It never ends, because some people just want to play the victim.
I guess my big question is if a transgendered man or woman is truly a woman or a man in every sense of the word. And how do you get people to agree to the idea that they truly are? I just don't see that ever happening, like where a transgendered woman's vagina is just completely overlooked and people really can't fathom her as anything other than a man, for instance. And isn't it infringing upon someone's rights to be forced to call a transgendered man "her/she" if he or she really doesn't feel that the man truly qualifies as a woman? I think it should be more up to people to just decide for themselves which pronouns to use, and the transgendered person to just kind of humbly accept that there are people who are going to be more open than others. Isn't that the way things usually work? Not everybody calls me "sir" or "your royal highness" as I'd like, but I just have to deal with that. Some people will be more respectful than others. That's just the way it is. You don't have to throw a fit if you don't get your way.
I always liked being called Chief About a decade ago, there was a scheme going in Ireland where if you bought land you could legally change your title to Lord or Lady. We bought land and changed our titles to Lady. we've never set foot on the land. but we are very feudal, so it was like a must for us.
Oh I see. The continuum one... it has the same 4 elements as the genderbread man which is why I used it; not for the colors. They should not be considered significant for all intents and purposes.
I'm sorry then. That wasn't my intention at all! The opposite really.. I hope if nothing else that it helps anyone out.
I just didn't understand the colors. Like they pointed to the brain but then what? The brain was also rainbow coloured so is that gingerbread man.. Haha.. Make female undecided alien and everything else?
Probably Lady. Like only a few times someone in a pub had said Howz it going.Chief! But I like American Indians so I thought it was cool.
I see what you mean. There are tons of genderbread depictions if you're curious. Just google genderbread... There's a website! It looks informative actually. An Adorable, Accessible Way to Explain a Complicated Concept ยป The Genderbread Person
I remember ginger kisses from Woolworth they were soft and had cream in the middle. I literally fell in love with them. They were sexy. I don't really like ginger though. Except on Gilligans Island.
Regarding to the over-hyped nontroversy that is "what restroom should a man who identifies as a woman use."
Personally, I don't see what alternative they had to the genderbread man. What? Just a regular person? And what should it say "gender expression"? They decided to do something a little bit creative and fun and I applaud them.
