It's the last day of Mardi Gras I think, before lent or whatever... Not being catholic I'm not really sure... Anyway, it's about the biggest party of mardi gras...
Ohh, righty. Why is it called Fat Tuesday though? I can understand the Tuesday bit, but why is it fat?
I think it's because catholic people like give something up for lent, so it's like the last day of partying.
Hehe that probably wasn't the most accurate explanation, but I've never really cared what the holiday was about, it's just a good excuse to party... I mean it's not everyday the city is filled with people partying in the streets...
I live in the north county of san diego and at night it's in the 40's during the day 50-75...it will be beach weather in May!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cold... Snowy... Nasty.... Patiently waiting till spring... Okay not so patiently... Damn It Spring Hurry UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe I'm looking to move to a warmer climate? Maybe I am interested in knowing what the different temperatures are like around different parts of the world? Welcome to the Forums M.O.D.E.R.A.T.O.R.
Usually it is rainy and stormy here during February, but so far it is sunny and about 70 F. By tomorrow it is supposed to be in the mid 70s I think. It is sweet.
it's warm enough for me to have the heater off and the doors open to air the house out. 54deg, no wind. lovely day. kai has croup still, so she's sleeping. no chance to enjoy the loveliness. it'll probably snow tomorrow.
February is such a crap month here in Ohio. It's grey everyday, it rains and snows, it's still cold, and there is ALWAYS nasty, slushy stuff everywhere. Bleh. I don't know why I'm not moving.
Usually here in Chicago, it is at least 30 degrees F and that is a heat wave for this time of year. But today, it was 40 and it is going to get up in the 50's this weekend! WOOHOO! ~namaste~
the she people hold little barbeques outside their crags evil spirits make the treetops moan ....and hopefully old hippies have fun
