checking to see if there is any intreast in my westie, its a late 72. has a 76 2.0L Type 4 engine with dual deletoro carbs (baby d's). camper interior is complete and working. Pop top has seperated in the two front corners, but could be repaired if needed. Child cot for the fron is included and has NEVER been used. The Good: I have a stack of reciepts from myself and the pervious owner. Just about everything on this bus has been replaced within the last 3 years. Compression testing (140, 142, 150, 145), leakdown test (10%, 12%, 18%, 14%) brakes replaced and barely have very low miles, new tires all around and good spare. Electrical work, All new cables (accelerator, heat and spares included), new starter, new altinator, new rear wheel cylenders, recent clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing, resurfaced flywheel, recent half shafts, and ebake cable. All camping equipment is original and intact. This was driven up from new mexico, and was not driven in the new england winters. the body is one of the nicest i have seen around, and my mechanics also said its in GREAT shape. The Not So Good: Carbs need a rebuild, i also have a pregressive webber carb that i will include that needs a rebuild as well. The only rust/rot is the battery trey, i have not got around to replacing it, but they sell weld in pannels cheep enough. needs paint, there are 2 dents on the body one on the sliding door and the other in the back in the drivers side. I had my mechanic go through the van recently and it needs ball joints, and a slight oil leak fixed (looks like its coming from the oil filler to me, but i havnt taken a close look at it). mileage on the body is high 561,XXX though its not a worry with the work thats been done. interior could use some seat covers/reupulstering. needs whindsheld got a quote for $250 installed and a drivers door window gasket. I am selling because I have ran out of funds and time for the project, and i would like someone else to care for it as much as i have. you might get more loot for that shinny bus on thesamba.com. thats a pretty good deal on a fresh lookin bus, im lookin for one, but i personally hate 72's(im very quirky when it comes to things)
