No you did not If you wanted to Make that point why didnt you just say " I dont take short flights " and state your reason for that view ? it took three posts Directed at me before you even mentioned pollution and short flights (which from the UK to Fuerteventura isn't short ) Then you start saying you will stop if people dont react makes you look more of an idiot I will shut up now about it because I am sick of your stupid logic Go ahead have the last word or whatever then just Fuck off and annoy somebody else
I would love to have some travel plans. I’m broke though. I’ll definitely do some hiking and camping this summer. Thankfully I have some really spectacular places to explore within a days drive.
Well, at least those 3 posts to you were trying to convey a point. What did all your posts to me contain? Most nothing but butthurt. If you took all the time you spend on your repetitive attempts to simply shut another poster up with namecalling and hypocritical whining into 1 post this thread would look so much better... And you know about trying to have the last word: that can just as easily and at least as righteously be told to you. You know that, right? Hypocrite.
Yeah , Vancouver is a great city. I’m about a 45 minute drive from Vancouver depending on the border crossing. Sometimes that can be a mess. Especially coming back into the U.S.
We crossed the border to a little town in the States with Antique shops really Quaint place Just remembered
It doesn't matter if you go on vacation and just sit there and could so that at home, because I dunno, fuck if that's what you do that's what you do. I chase sports events and places of importance, I'm not interested in art. But it's cool if someone else is, and not into sports or places of interest. Different strokes for different folks. Some vacation on a cruise and that's literally sitting on your ass for a month. Nobody says boo about that. oh but take a plane overseas and sit down oh well fuck you can't do that. I go overseas and parked my arse on a seat at a nascar track for 12 hrs a day. Wouldn't change that for the world. and I spent 8hrs of the rest of the day driving probably so even more sitting down.
Many summers ago, I was climbing the south side of Mt. St. Helens. I ran out of water on the way up, so I drank melting snow glacial water from the stream and it was the best tasting water I ever had. I was getting soooo close to the top I could see it, but I had to turn around and go back down because the sun was setting, and I had no flashlight or warm clothing. And I was by myself. On my way down, I had to hop from rock to rock as there was no marked trail along this canyon I went up. I leaped on top of one rock that was about the size of a Smart Car, and I felt it move. I quickly bailed off of that rock, and watched as it rolled down into the canyon about 300ft!! It was dark by the time I got down to the timberline, and had to walk through the forest in the dark with only the moon to light my way. Anyway, I bring that story up because that was one of my best Washington memories.
I've been on one through Scandinavian fjords, was amazing and beautiful. We waved at Polar bears and they came up to the boat a little. Stop off at the fjords and they're just gorgeous. But was more a fancy ferry than a big cruise ship. I want cruise Antarctica one day too.
I think it's more for the slightly older people. Just for them to relax in a nice environment and have everything done for them, with the activities on board like the dances and cabaret, and maybe take in a few sights on shore leave. My friend who is approaching 70 went on one to the West Indies this last Summer and he really enjoyed it.
McMurdo is the only town in Antarctica. More like a civilization than an actual town though. It'd be cool to say you've been to Antarctica. But I don't think there'd be a whole lot to see down there. I remember my flight from San Francisco to Frankfurt Germany, we flew over Greenland and all the snowy mountains all looked the same.
