What's Happening???

Piper bruised the crap out of my hand.

She has a habit of jumping and barking at the cats if she sees them outside. She's fine with them in the house. She licks and nuzzles them indoors.

I was talking to my son, Piper's leash loosely wrapped around my hand, when she lunged at a cat. Now, the outside edge of my hand and the knuckle of my little finger are blue and swollen.

Dumb dog.

 

And hubby's knee is scraped open from his fall at the grocery store.

Come on 2018, get outta here.

 

I decided to get some whiskey. Had an awkward exchange with my son's old preschool teacher when I bumped into her at the liquor store. Have some steaks marinating. I guess thats about all I have to say about what's happening

 

Just a few more hours

 

Oh, yeah, also the big 34 yr old apple tree outside my bedroom window uprooted and fell this morning.

 

I'm in a great mood in spite of it all.

 

Yeah, I'm feeling better.
I'm still not entirely my old self, and get tired easily, but I'm getting there.

Brushed up against a tow truck today... estimate is $2,300+. No one was surprised by that number but me. My insurance covers all but my deductible. So I'm in a rental car until it's fixed. Bummed. I might have ice cream tonight to make it up to myself. Because I really try to be a conscientious driver! It's a matter of pride. I really do take care to be good at it, and now this. So dumb. I made a right turn and my right fender caught on his left rear (I don't know what part but I could hear it scrape and buckle...). i guess I can just be glad the insurance will cover most of the repair.

 

I've given up even the pretense of an effort

I am in bed with a book now. I almost made it to midnight. I tried. A little.

Penny Marshall's cause of death revealed

Penny Marshall died primarily of heart failure, according to her newly-released death certificate.The certificate, issued by the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office lists heart failure,
heart disease and complications from diabetes as the causes the death.


Penny's remains were cremated on Dec. 26 and given to her sister, Ronny Hallin,
