The last thing I watched was a documentary about then Wildcat in the Pacific theatre. Pretty cool planes. One of the stories was a guy was saying he was in a dogfight for over an hour with this one guy and he eventually faked him out and shot him down and as the Zero went down he circled passed the American he said they were looking at each other and the pilot saluted him before plunging into the ocean. I thought that was pretty cool and honourable. I like hearing stories like that.
I actually watched a film, but it was a "movie" kind of film - The Humanity Bureau with Nick Cage. Pretty good dystopian drama. I plan to watch a lot of Netflix over the next few days, seeing as I do pay for it but often don't get around to watching stuff.
"Dali's Secret." In 1959 the great Surrealist painter Salvador Dali was commissioned to paint the vision of Hell seen by the the three children of Fatima. The painting was commissioned by the World Apostolate of Fatima, otherwise known as The Blue Army. In research for this painting Dali spoke with Sister Lucia, the only surviving shepherd child to have witnessed the revelation of the vision of Hell. The painting was executed in secret, and Dali was greatly affected, with many suspecting his confession to a Father Jose duration this period presaged the great painter's reconciliation with Catholicism. Father Jose said Dali's confession was the most sincere and moving he had ever heard. After this time the religious subject matter of Dali's work increased by 400 percent. The final painting shocked the Vatican and it was hidden under a Sister's bed for 30 years in New Jersey. It now resides with a private collector in Connecticut.
Icaros. Next up is Growing Up in the Universe. Second edit: Back to Waking up in the Universe. I can't stay awake to watch more than the first of the series
I just started watching American Horror Story today. It's quite enthralling, but I don't really do well with creepy shows.
I've gotten into Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. Sort of by accident, I didnt expect to like it that much but it's pretty great. Lots of quirky, subtle, unexpected humor there
