Im listening to "heroin" by the Velvet Underground right now, I've forgotten how much i like them. Does anyone else like them?
i love the velvet underground. Unfortunatly, the only album i have is loaded. i reaaallly need to get into them more...
I like them...but I am tired...so I'll come back tomorrow and talk about them when I find the cds (I have three I think) and remember what they were all about..heh, good thread
Of course lou reed is fantastic. especially his stuff with the velvet underground. "heroin" and "pale blue eyes" are really great songs by the band!
i effing love the velvet underground. the self-titled is my favorite album. i saw a velvet underground cover band in san fran two years ago (opening up for a sage francis show, no less) and they were excellent, but i can't recall their name...
It took me a while and a couple of documentaries for me to appreciate them. The album that's called Velvet Undrerground I could listen to all day.
One of my favorite bands, if not my all-time favorite. For me, White Light/White Heat is their best, then The Velvet Underground & Nico, then The Velvet Underground, and last, Loaded. Great, great, great band.
Je t'aime? Despite what lovely Katie says, the VU kind of make sex and drugs...interesting...Their music does something to me. Unexplainable, I guess.
I love them, they've become one of my favorite bands... I still have yet to hear The Velvet Underground, though.

Yeah, Chuck. "Candy Says," "What Goes On," and "I'm Set Free" are some of my favorite VU songs. Get The Velvet Underground ASAP.
