It's illegal in Finland too, unless you're using the hands free set. I can't drive and talk on the phone at the same time. Makes me too distracted.
I remember this soccer mom almost plowed right into me cause she was talking on her cell phone, and she didnt even notice that she almost crashed into me..so i gave her the one finger salute
One days drive to work for me backs-up everything this study says. Soccer moms...shudders.... It amazes me how most people (that I know) swear that their talking does not affect their driving. However, most of the accidents/near-misses I have witnessed usually involve a cell phone. Luckily, I'm the one not on a cell phone and I can react to the idiots around me and keep myself from getting involved in the accident. I'm still baffled as to why some people just will not admit that cell-phone use does not affect their driving. Even worse are the ones who admit that their driving is affected by phone use, but continue to do so. When I'm driving to work on a three lane highway, and one idiot on a cell phone causes an accident, there's a good chance that they're also going to hurt others, including me. It's an automobile, not a fucking phonebooth. <-Rough drive into work this morning. Just happened to touch on my already exposed nerves
Ugh those people piss me off... actually any multitasking while driving pisses me off. Don't be reading a book, curling your hair, shaving your legs, putting on makeup, saying hello to your monster, or anything else while driving! especially if you've got little kids in the back (this is especially true for the monster-greeting, cos that's just inappropriate) cos that's added responsibility. Just DRIVE people, get there in one piece.
hehe...supergirl just jogged a memory from last week. Driving home on the interstate, and the car up ahead of me was weaving a little. Not a lot, but on a few occasions I thought he was going to drive right off the road into the median. As soon as I could I passed him, not wanting to be behind someone who had a good chance of wrecking. Was he drunk? I don't think so. He had a portable DVD player resting on his dashboard, right in front of him as he was driving. On the highway. At 75 MPH. Hopefully Darwin is correct, and he will eventually take himself out of the gene pool.
Rofl see? That's what I'm talking about phillyrp314, people do the DUMBEST things! Dang... you shoulda called the cops and given them his licence plate - he woulda got a nasty surprise!
I wanted to...but considering I don't carry a cell phone... The only time I would like a cell phone, and I would have called while driving... oh the irony...
my husband used to drive trucks. he spent so much time on the road that he started reading while driving.
I wanna purposely run into anyone on a cellphone, because they will be at fault. seriously though. I see too many of them run stop signs and not pay attention. they dont even look at opposing traffic..... they just drive right through, on their phone.
