Earlier in this thread I posted the report about the cops and the ATF rounding up 40 Neo Nazis/Aryan Brotherhood dudes in Florida. There were lots of pipe bombs, assault guns, and even a Sten looking submachine gun. No one on here added to it. To me it looked like they were planning a war, not exercise of the Second Amendment.

 

They had a rocket launcher too... You, know... for home protection, and all.

 

Ever notice how the second amendment as written applies to "arms" in general? but its cheerleaders talk only of guns.

If you believe the amendment appiles to AK-47s, shouldn't it also apply to tanks, stealth bombers, and nukes?

What do you mean you don't remember saying that I claimed a rifle never has muzzle-rise? It's not a matter of memory; it's a matter of public record.

MeAgain: "You claim a rifle doesn't rise during firing, especially under rapid fire conditions." So, yeah, your failure to refer me to where I said such a thing still stands as a monument to what an obsession can cause you to see which isn't really there.

Concerning pistol grips, I am on record as saying that their design is a matter of the evolution of ergonomics.

The rest of your post appears to be an attempt to make more out of pistol grips and muzzle-rise than is there. In a mass shooting scenario, a shooter shoots someone, and then they shoot another. Without reason, you are insisting that rapid firing is a characteristic of mass shootings when that is not the case, as is evidenced by your failure to show anything to prove it. Muzzle-rise does not affect the accuracy of a the first shot. So, in order to vilify the pistol grip, you've decided to include rapid fire as one of the ingredients of mass shootings. Perhaps your point would be better served if you could produce some eyewitness accounts of mass shootings that include testimony as to the rapid fire you speak of. Short of that, your issue with pistol grips is based on your own imagination and not much else.

Earlier, you suggested that I look up the legal definition of an assault weapon. And so I asked you why are you asking about the legal definition of an assault weapon when you yourself have said that it varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. That question still stands.

When you figure out that virtually no one in this thread agrees with your idea of a nationwide property raid for the purpose of confiscating every single gun, let me know.

Reread your post. You didn't address any question to me. You did, however, imply that gun rights advocates believe that the AK-47 should be legal to own. So I want to be clear as to whether or not you believe the AK-47 is an automatic rifle. So what do you believe?

You are very right about that nose! The Bible was written around 346 AD and much of it is metaphoric and explanatory of life as it was in the Middle East back then. The Constitution of the USA was written during the years after 1776 and during the Constitutional convention. It has a provision for amendments, and we should use that to UPDATE that document. I say it's time for an UPDATE of the Second one! After we do that, we need to make sure that no police department or sheriff office is riddled by Neo-Nazis or people who think they are supreme. Good cops need to serve and protect, not frame and murder colored folks.

 

The entire point of the second was in case a war between government and the people was needed.

 

I support a Constitutional Convention to vote and repeal the Second Amendment. We can have a beautiful new world without the tools of death.

 

That may have been the case back then; however, the very idea today is out dated and very crazy. We can fix the national problems without a bunch of semi illiterate meth heads driving around the county in their pickup trucks and shooting people they think are funded by Soros.

 

Random people funded by Soros would not be military/government so not sure of the point.
