    Is your friend's name Steve? He looks like a guy I used to work with, named Steve. Good people. Anyway to answer your question, it's hard to tell becaue the pic is small and dark...and the sunglasses are covering his eyes...but he's ok. Not exactly my type but I don't see anything weirdly unattractive about him.
