I've had some problematic neighbors over the years. Sometimes it helps to know where best to align the security cameras. An odd phenomenon we have in the shadow of Atlanta are a number of unlicensed halfway houses. Somehow probation officers approve of this, but code enforcement doesn't. They busted one a few blocks over that had become a 24/7 traffic jam.

Another thing they do around here is shelter convicted child molesters anonymously though it was much worse in Florida. My father in law is a skip tracer and gets a lot of this information for free. But sometimes I don't want him to know (like checking out a coworker), so I do it over the web. I only use the information to dodge landmines. The cameras help me dodge the Jehovah's Witnesses.

 

You should, Atlanta is wonderful. Seriously, you'd be amazed how fast you get used to utter gridlock. I moved here in 1998 fully expecting to see cops beating black guys in the street, neo-nazis directing traffic and weekly cross burning barbecues. I was certain the KKK ran the DMV and the airport.

None of that came to be. Instead all of my speculation only exposed my pure and utter bigotry and prejudice. While living here is cheap, property is not. Rent is way too high in some places and it seems like the only reasonable rents are had in dodgy neighborhoods. We also have really excellent pot here. No-name sticky buds of sheer joy! Which leads into the Mexican food here, it's amazing, VERY authentic. It's as if they bring in REAL Mexicans to cook here!!!

 

Especially at LA fitness.

however

I dodge those bullets without the back ground check......i'm a pretty hard person to take advantage of.....I dont think its fair to judge a dude by his crimes he has been found guilty of....not in this day and age....

 

Indeed, not any people fook with me or Jane, my wife (she be packin). But the kinds of losers we have known as "neighbors" over the years usually have one thing in common, they rip us off when we're not around. And they know we're not around because they watched us.

Too bad some were ignorant of infrared lights and cameras. And I found great joy in hearing one of the cops say "oh I know that guy" while I was playing it back for them. I keep a $50 bill on a tack in my office as bait for a perfect profile shot. We haven't been ripped off in a decade.

Be my guest. I also keep a Beeman .22 caliber air rifle and scope on a pair of hooks on the header so it can be clearly seen from the front door when it's open. It's a decoy, I even have a trigger guard on it in plain view. It looks like civilian sniper rifle, but it's only good for knocking down squirrels. It's a glorified BB gun.

Jane, my wife, has some Louisiana shit hanging in the front window to ward off the bible belt zombies. And a big Mary in the front yard (don't ask, I don't).

he'd lead them right to it …..I cant imagine living anywhere that countering criminals is an everyday thing..….plus....if any my wives carried a gun I would be dead right now haha

 

I am starting to feel like I am the only one who has great neighbors......I know every person on this road and love all of them....not a dick in the bunch.....maybe I am the dick in the bunch eh?....seriously though...may here never speak fondly of the neighbors?...some are actively scrapping with them

Most of the time I ignore the recorder. The last time I rolled it back was to watch a neighbor cut down a tree that landed in the street in front of my house.

He uh, raped the sister of someone I know. Small world.
And I looked it up on the public arrest records after hearing about it

It's bad out here in the burbs of Atlanta.

I just leave my car unlocked.
