Knowing Trump, the 5000 to 7000 service members for the parade could end up being from the Russian military.
I thought it was a cute illustration that depicts what I've been saying about Russian interference since day 1. The problem is ever since the rigging by Wasserman-Shultz was leaked, Russia has been a scapegoat for all of Trump's successes, and all of the media's failures. Has Russia been conspiring with Trump the entire way? It's possible there was some collusion here and there, but it's hard to take the media seriously anymore. Even now, the media is publishing baseless accusations that Russia is involved with the #walkaway movement. But not once has Vox, CNN, Huffpo, or any DNC outlet interviewed or debated the founder, Brandon Straka (who is not a Russian bot).
Russian takeover? This whole thing is way overblown imo and without hard evidence political theatre. It’s a diversion away from the real problems in the country like stagnating wages and increasing expenses. Also, every time you fill up at a gas station you’re supporting Putin.
An assault on our electoral system by a hostile foreign power is a real problem, and virtually the entire U.S. intelligence system thinks it did happen and will happen again--by Russia. If we can't defend our democracy, stagnating wages and increasing expenses will be the least of our problems. But I didn't know we were importing much Russian oil or gasoline. Last I looked, it was 12,000 barrels or less a month. That's not even in the top ten. Canada, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, and Mexico are far more important to us as oil suppliers. As for trading partners, Russia isn't even in the top twenty. In fact, it ranks #30. The EU, China, Canada, Mexico and Germany--all those countries Trump has been bad mouthing and threatening with tariffs--are among our leading trading partners, in the top ten. What gives?
Rachel Maddow reported that the tape recording Cohen had made of Trump had been marked "Privileged" and had not been given to the prosecutors. So, the leaked tape could have only come from Cohen and his lawyers or Trump's lawyers. Lanny Davis says they can not comment on the matter because Cohen is under criminal investigation. That leaves the Trump camp as the only likely source of the leak. Maddow said it is likely an attempt by Trump to get ahead of the story and to ruin Cohen's chances of using the matter as a bargaining tool with the prosecutors. Giuliani publicly said the tape is "exculpatory" for Trump. Davis disagrees. It is also an indication that Trump will not be pardoning Cohen. Things are churning up well!
Fact check: Trump offers skewed view of farm trade CBS/AP July 20, 2018, 6:25 PM Fact check: Trump offers skewed view of farm trade excerpt: "As for soybeans, he is ignoring a big — and positive — reason why soybean prices fell in recent years to about $9.39 a bushel in 2017 from about $14 in 2012 and 2013: Farmers have been flooding the market with soybeans. In fact, the Agriculture Department reported that a record 89 million acres of soybeans were harvested last year. That is about 13.3 million acres more than in 2013. Prices, of course, generally fall as supply rises to meet demand. The Agriculture Department figures suggest that soybean prices have held relatively steady since 2015, a sign that farmers are planting enough to meet their customers' needs. But that was before the U.S. trade war with China. With China imposing a new, retaliatory tariff on U.S. soybeans, their price per bushel dropped this week by about 20 percent since early May to a 10-year low. Soybeans profit margins aren't very large, meaning farmers can quickly go from breaking even to losing money. On June 1, a farmer with 1,000 acres of corn and soybeans expected a $42,000 return. That has dropped to a negative $126,000, according Christopher Hurt, an agricultural economist at Purdue University. Chinese buyers are canceling orders for U.S. soybeans amid the prospect of higher tariff costs. At the same time, Beijing is encouraging farmers in China to plant more soy, apparently to help make up for any shortfall from the U.S."
Except no matter how many times you blab on and on there was nothing to the Clinton Sanders thing. Russia isn't a scapegoat, they are a foreign power that stole private property and released it to the public in order to help elect their favorite candidate for president...as Putin admitted at the Helsinki summit. Is Putin's own admission fake news also? And now the collusion has to be continuous, (which it is btw), once isn't enough....a few instantaneous here and there is perfectly acceptable to you. After all Benedict Arnold only wanted to surrender West Point once....that should be okay. Now you again go against the most reliable data we have and attempt to distort it to reach your own conclusions. No one has said the Russians started or run the #walkaway movement. What Hamilton 68 and Arc Digital have said is that the bogus walkway movement started by a video posted by Straka (the useful idiot) and then promoted by pro Trump sites has been infested and used by Russian bots to make it appear to be valid.
It has ranked as the third or fourth most popular Kremlin-linked hashtag for days, according to bot tracking by the Hamilton 68 site run by the bipartisan Alliance for Securing Democracy, which keeps tabs on Russian activity on the American internet. Arc Digital has made the same connection in the “strikingly similar” tweets pushing a “familiar narrative” of Democratic “bullying.” Arc traced the campaign from a Facebook group in May and subsequent tweets whose traffic suddenly began to explode late last month.
So just because there are some useful American idiots who post about this movement...the vast majority ARE Russian bots. But they've already sucked you in just as they did during the election .
Some of those Walkout stories are so ridiculous and rely so heavily on stale stereotypes of Democrats and leftists you just know they arent real
Trump's initiation of a trade war isn't going the alleviate the issue of increasing expenses in the U.S. It has already raised prices for consumers The trade war isn't going to solve the problem of stagnating wages by trying to cripple China's Made in China 2025 initiative. The U.S. has to learn to compete better in a global market place. This requires investing in areas such as science, engineering, medicine, technology, and law which history has shown generally yields higher higher income for workers. Trump mentioned essentially nothing about education in the 2016 campaign and has said little about it as President. He doesn't even know the difference between a trade school and a community college. His mind is in the era of the 1940's when trade schools and trade jobs were still dominant in the education and work market. His approach is to use sections of obscure, dated, congressional acts involving trade to twist the arm of other countries to try to get what he thinks is a better deal for the U.S., similar to the approach he used during his Manhattan real estate ventures. A portion of the general public is attracted by the thought of having a mafia-style strongman twist the arms of other countries for them so that they can supposedly get a better job. That seems like an easier route than going through difficult years of education, earning certificates and degrees, and learning new job skills to stay competitive in the global market. Trump is the type of person who would hire a hit man to break the knee of figure skater Nancy Kerrigan to improve the chance of his girl Tonya Harding winning the Olympic medal instead of investing in Tonya becoming a better skater. Trump would pay for the hit job indirectly by reimbursing his personal lawyer who payed for it with a home equity loan through a shady LLC in Delaware. Later Trump would deny that he had any involvement.
With his prosecutor background, Giuliani has little expertise in being a defense lawyer. He's trying to break one bad news item after another about Trump by issuing preemptive statements that implicate him in a way that he thinks will soften the blow. He's doing it so aggressively that he sounds like he's a prosecutor going after Trump. Giuliani is what Trump is stuck with after all the other major defense lawyers turned down Trump because of not wanting to deal with his undisciplined personality.
Yes it does. Does "the media" include the propaganda screeds you've served up to us to defend your "Alt lite" agitprop? Breitbart, Info-wars, and (one that particularly stuck in my memory) Russia Today? Discredit "the media" (except yours), discredit the U.S. intelligence community, discredit our European allies, stir up fears about Muslims and immigrants, shift the blame to Hillary and Obama,, yadda, yadda, yadda. That seems to be the Trump Game Plan and Putin's. The Russians interfered with the last election--at least that's what our intelligence community says and Trump lately agreed to after the reaction to his earlier iterations. Putin will be getting the red carpet treatment as his reward when he comes to our country. Our President and Congress refuse to defend the one coming up, because they expect to benefit from it. Why don't you think the Russians and their American shils won't attack this one, and why again wouldn't that be a problem?
A portion of the Alt Right and Alt Lite, recently emerged from their Mom's basements, finds it difficult to hold steady jobs and form stable relationships with real people. So they turn to demagogues like Milo (who calls Trump "Daddy") and the Proud Boys in hopes of getting somewhere. Maybe if we can just get rid of the foreigners and put the feminists in their place, emloyers will scrap the drug tests and these man-children can get jobs. Are you raising this as a hypothetical, or do you really think Trump had any involvement with that incident? I know Tonya is a big fan of the Donald, but I hadn't heard that he was actually involved in the hit.
Congress strips ZTE penalty provision from must-pass defense bill As a concession to the White House, Republicans take out measure to restore harsher penalties on the Chinese telecom giant. by Leigh Ann Caldwell Jul.21.2018 / 10:58 AM ET Congress strips ZTE penalty provision from must-pass defense bill excerpt: WASHINGTON — In a concession to the White House, Republicans in Congress weakened a provision to levy harsh penalties on Chinese telecom giant ZTE from the must-pass annual defense bill on Friday. Democrats quickly criticized Republicans for caving in to president Donald Trump, who has been supportive of the Chinese company that is considered a national security threat. The move was made during negotiations between the House and the Senate on their separately passed defense authorization bills. “By stripping the Senate’s tough ZTE sanctions provision from the defense bill, President Trump — and the Congressional Republicans who acted at his behest — have once again made President Xi and the Chinese Government the big winners and the American worker and our national security the big losers,” Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer said in a statement
And with Trump, it would probably also involve him in sexual relations with a figure skater in addition to being the one who secretly orchestrated the fracturing of the knee of a competitor.
Is this the same intelligence system that keeps us in never ending wars based on false evidence (WMD, Iraq) and lies to the American people that it's not spying on them even though it is? (Brennen) The military industrial complex is what runs the show. That's why Trump has increase military spending by a trillion, put more sanctions on Putin, has been dropping more bombs than ever in the middle east even to the point of directly engaging Russian troops and has been selling high grade weapons to Ukraine to fight the Russians. Yet the media wants people to believe that Trump is a puppet for Putin. I'd say it better to just focus on the facts. The price of oil is what matters when it comes to strengthening Russia. Every time someone fills up the tank they're increasing demand and driving up the price of oil. Americans switching to alternatives would really hurt Russia. That's probably why Russian media is so against people like Elon Musk.
Focus on the facts? And where will we get those? From Info-wars, Russia Today, and the FSB? From Trump? неправдоподобный Even after the Watergate disclosures and cover-up forced Nixon to resign, a quarter of Americans stood behind him until they had more facts. Trump increased the military budget because: (a) aspiring dictators like weapons; (b) Republicans have a special love for the military; and (c) it's something that sells with the base. Facts: Putin sponsored on-going aggression by rebels rebels in eastern Ukraine that has claimed 10,000 lives, annexed Crimea, imprisoned hundreds of political dissidents.brazenly murdered two opponents in the UK, not to mention many more in Russia itself. Are you suggesting we have nothing to worry about? Another reason not to support Trump. He's opposed to alternative fuels.
Not listening to the constructive criticisms of real people are a good reason why there will be no blue wave this year.
Then why not put Straka on CNN where he can be debated, discredited, and made a complete fool out of for the world to see? They're afraid. That's why.
