my FiL was trying to give me a hard time about where i put my garden... close to the kitchen so i can use it, and the garage back door for tools and supplies... "well id put a big deck here"

well thats great dude. i dont want a big deck. i want a small deck, a patio, and gardens and chickens and pathways and shit. places for the kids to imagine and explore and make themselves sick on berries. buy your own house and build a deck.
then he tried to give me a hard time about pulling the boy out of public indoctrination. like, you really dont listen for shit do ya? i pulled him out in FEBRUARY.

so irritating. like, im a fucking person damnit, listen to me.

Yeeeah I got all that from my dad too when I bought my first places. He'd be around every 2nd day looking for things to do like God damn dad, piss off. I moved out for a reason. :p if I need you, I'll call. :p

And then you've got my uncle who lives near me and a couple of years ago I put up a pool fence and it's great, but, the one pole that the gate latches to isn't anchored very well. The pavers under the pergola just were not thick enough for the bolts, I'd end up drilling into the earth. So the pole stayed as it was. It's there. It works. There's nothing wrong with it. Well holy hell I hear about it every time he's over "you really need to fix this pole".. No. No I don't. I know you think I'm hopeless, I know you think I'm lazy but it just doesn't need to be fixed right now. I'm going to put more fencing along the front anyway and when I do it'll all connect I just haven't done it because it's not a necessity right now. It is very frustrating. I think he's learned I crack the shits when he comes over and points things out to me. Yeah yeah I'll get to it, when it suits me. And nothing is ever crucial, it's just nitpicking.

temp area for the wee hens....train them to forage for bugs and get used to the big birds walking around...they already pay no mind to the dog...that spot will be shady by 10 am and stay shady all day

The Thai cave rescue, I don't understand why the guys can't do even a 30 second tv interview. Not even a single photo of them since they got out. Seems weird

They're in isolation until they are sure that they don't have some sort of cave disease that is common in these sorts of situations.

I don't understand about the ex Navy Seal that died on this operation. He had taken oxygen to the kids, and then didn't save or have enough for himself on the return trip...or that is all the info I can dig up. It says "he lost consciousness and couldn't be revived", so does that mean he didn't save enough oxygen for himself, his body just gave out or wth?! What the news (that I could find) said was his diving partner was with him and tried to revive him, so apparently that dude had enough oxygen.

Its really sad and it doesn't make sense to me that someone with those skills (a Navy Seal) wouldn't have prepared with enough oxygen for his return swim, especially since his partner had enough. I'm glad everyone on that soccer team and the coach survived such a bizarre (and completely unnecessary) ordeal...but I can't get my mind off of the man that died.

I know right, how selfish of them not to think of humanity and our incessant need for press coverage at a time like this

Assuming weakened immunity, being under ground in an almost sterile environment .. Telling from caving/spelunking in the past, you go down for a couple hours. You come out, disoriented. Its as if you lost your direction. Even experienced spelunkers feel odd coming out after hours inside a cave, cant imagine days. .

white nose fungus is the reason behind most the caves closing here. There are still others to explore but not where there is a high bat population.

I've had problems with that before. What I decided to do was slice it up into manageable doses. This one time I needed oxygen. I was a little dysphoric from it. Apparently, in addition to being psychoactive, marijuana is also a respiratory suppressant.
