"WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Attorneys defending President Donald Trump and the company of his personal legal counsel, Michael Cohen, have filed to move the lawsuit against their clients by porn star Stormy Daniels to federal court and are claiming she could owe as much as $20 million for violating a nondisclosure agreement.

The move marks the first time attorneys for Trump himself have joined the legal action in the Daniels matter."

That's why I don't bother watching television or reading the news. If I want fiction, I read fiction, I want a video game, I play a video game, if I want porn, I watch porn, and the rest of the time its just a sad distraction or too much mental junk food, which is unhealthy for the body and soul. The idea my watching them or voting makes any difference, other than to encourage them, is totally ludicrous.

 

This is classic Trump. Take something away from people and feel gratified by their begging for mercy to have it returned to them. It's even better if they come to Trump-branded property to beg for it.

"On Thursday afternoon, top oil and gas executives left an American Petroleum Institute board meeting at the Trump International Hotel in Washington and headed to the White House to personally lobby Mr. Trump, telling him that his pending steel tariffs could raise the cost of pipelines and extraction projects across the country, and discussing possible exemptions.

Three days earlier, the American Soybean Association, whose members are among the biggest United States exporters, requested a meeting with Mr. Trump. After hearing nothing, they sent 120 farmers and association employees to meet with lawmakers from farming states, arguing that the tariffs could set off retaliation and hurt American agriculture."

 

The Duck's claim to fame is that he is not the Red Queen (ie- Adolf Hitler). Just a businessman attempting to get Americans a better deal. Me, I keep debating whether it would be better to get it over-with fast. At least Germany is a much better country today after getting slapped down good an hard by the international community. The idea there is anyone listening is absurd.

 

James Watt was Reagan's Secretary of the Interior. He was another fox assigned to guard the henhouse and was known for his embarassing remarks.

After his boneheaded attempt at banning a concert at the DC mall by the Beach Boys whom Ron and Nancy admired, White House staffers gave Watt a plaster of a foot with a bullet hole in it as an award for his remarks. Watt was seen on TV holding the award and smiling about his mistake.

TV evangelist Pat Robertson had James Watt on his 700 Club show and praised him from A to Z.

That's what I think. The move was intended to cause personal injury to McCabe. Trump and pence like to do that sort of thing.

 

Clinton was impeached for that! Or, more accurately, for obstruction of justice in trying to cover it up.

 

And that's exactly the problem. Most of my friends who are Trump supporters don't watch it either. I happen to think there's more to life than watching videos, reading fiction, playing video games, porn, etc. This is a great country, and I'm not gonna sit by quietly while it goes to the dogs. In the real world, the choices are often the lesser of evils. I'd rather have the lesser than the greater--which is what we got.

 

My understanding is that although it is now a federal case, it would still be held in California.

I am not a big fan of lawyers, but got to hand it to Stormy's attorney. He seems to have some balls.

 

too many people in this country have their heads buried in the sand. Then they dig themselves out, and ask what happened?

 

I don't think removing it to federal court anywhere would put it behind closed doors, unless Trump can also convince the court that it should be dealt with by arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act--which he might well do, if the court buys the argument that the Non-Disclosure agreement with Ms Daniels, containing an arbitration clause, was valid. That will be the crucial battle, and her lawyer is ready and primed. If stormy gets it to a court trial instead of arbitration, she gets to do discovery--and the skeletons will come out of the Trump closet. And folks who don't usually watch the news will be getting out the popcorn.

 

The local porn industry sees a boom whenever the republican convention is in town, one porn star made her career imitating Sara Palin, and the Duck's own wives look like porn stars. Wayne Newton is classic republican entertainment, known for his Vegas act and ties to the Mafia. That's family values for you. The alternative is the televangelists, and after 40 years of republicans pretending to be spiritual, the Duck is almost a breath of fresh air.

Stormy Daniels has now made a rather sizable fortune, you go for it girl. Nobody can screw you like a porn star.

 

you know what they say. any publicity is usually good publicity, unless you are married(for now) to Melania.

 

The Duck has gone bankrupt before, but will never have to worry about being poor again. A poor former president is not something the entrenched wealth in the US would ever allow.
