I don't drink very often, and when I do, it doesn't take much to get me buzzed. I don't like getting too wasted so I usually just cut myself off after a couple of drinks, but lately I can't get any level of inebriated. It doesn't matter what I drink either- beer, wine, hard liquor- nothing happens. Has anyone else here experienced this? It's not a huge deal I guess, but it's kind of a bummer.
When that happened to me, my tolerance went up, which meant that I could drink more. But then I usually drink to get at least a little bit fucked up, so I don't know.
My drinking habit ranges anywhere from nothing during a 4 month period, to a couple nights a month, with only a couple drinks each time. I shouldn't really have a tolerance...
Also, I think it's easier for one to feel the effects of alcohol during the warmer seasons as opposed to the colder seasons. Perhaps that might have been contributing to your situation.
Stick to your norm. Increasing consumption to get the buzz effect will only be worse for you health wise. Enjoy the taste and just kick back and relax with it after a long day.
I had 5beers last night. didnt even get that big a buzz, more tired than anything. booze is just a depressant .. so i dont expect anything other than falling back..
Been vaping for like 8 months and it's easy for me. If it's there I vape. If it's not there, I don't even think about it.
I would say seek addiction therapy, but I don't think that's what the thread is about. What I used to do before I quit drinking was make slushies out of flavored vodka and ice. You can pour a whole lot of that stuff into a blender if you have one. Add lots of ice. It should thicken right up! They have some good flavors: cake flavor, blue raspberry if I remember right (I know it was blue... lol), um roasted marshmallows i think... it's all a little hazy to be honest.
