Is public masturbation wrong ?

If it's behind a door in a Public Toilet Stall, then it ceases to be public. The door is there for privacy.

Even if you are out in publicly accessible areas, if you are taking steps to ensure you will not be seen, then once again that technically ceases to be classed as 'Public Masturbation'.

What would class as Public Masturbation would be if you were to start rubbing one off in the middle of the town shopping precinct, in which case, I would imagine that the matter of time it takes to get arrested would be some sort of clue as to whether it's considered right or wrong.

However, on the other hand, such morals have always been entirely man-made (no gender specification intended), and have also moved on greatly in a relatively short period of time. After all, it wasn't that long ago when it was considered unconciable for a woman to show so much as a bare ankle in public. Now, it's quite the fashion to be wearing clothing that can barely be classed as clothing at all for the amount of coverage it provides. In the U.K., at least, the letter of the law states that it is only illegal to be naked in public where it is likely to 'cause alarm', so I suppose that the partaking in any form of sexual activity, be it solo or between couples, is only the next level along.

I think what the real question is is whether or not masturbation in public merely for the sake of exhibitionism is wrong, in which case, I would say, yes it is.

 

I think its fine as long as you are in a bathroom stall, behind the dumpster in the ally, or a boiler room and keeping the moaning quiet

I wish it was not and there were places where you could publicly masturbate such as in a park on a hot day. It is and I have no wish to go to jail.

 

About 15 years ago the wife worked at a retail drug chain. One day one of the regular customers was outside using the pay phone (I did say it was years ago ).
It was a warm day and she was wearing shorts. Anyhow as she was talking on the phone some guy kinda moved closer to her, there was a few people out in front of the store at the time, so she didn't really think much of it. She sort of turned her back to him for privacy when all of the sudden she felt something wet hit her leg. When she looked down she saw the guy was jerking it and cumming all over her leg.

When the police got there he was initially arrested for indecent exposure, lewd and lascivious acts in public, etc, etc.

A week later when my wife talked with her about it she said they found out the guy was HIV positive and in court the judge added a charge of felony assault and battery with the intent to commit grave bodily harm. Guess the judge didn't like the guy.

So, no I don't think beating it in public is a wise thing to do.

 

That's horrible. Did the woman get treatment to avoid contracting the HIV since she did get in contact with semen which probably contained the virus?

 

I doubt there was any real risk considering there was no open wounds or anything like that. Plus once you have definitely been exposed, there is no treatment to avoid contracting it, the only thing to do is get tested and wait and see.

Well... masturbating where people can see you that haven't asked to see you is definitely wrong. Some people are offended, feel threatened, etc. So don't do that. In a public bathroom stall? Go ahead! The door's closed, right? There's one near me that has peek holes in the middle stall where if you lean back you can see someone pissing in the urinal beside, and the other hole shows someone sitting on the toilet. I believe if someone's there to puss or crap, watching them is wrong. But sometimes they're there to put on a show. (The holes are fairly well known to be there.
