This deal about pumping your own gas versus having an attendant to do so is so strange to me. I've always pumped my own gas, except for a very few times I went to the ONE station in this town where there was someone to do it...they have been closed for several years. I found that I preferred to pump my own, because I never really trusted what that person was doing.

My friend in Oregon is all to hell about not wanting to pump her own gas ( lol :D ) and how out there the no self-serve gives people (teens and then old retired people) jobs that otherwise these people would have much trouble finding any kind of work. Supposedly they check fluids and clean the windshield. Again, I know I would have a problem trusting what a youngun' would say and wonder if the old dude could see the oil stick (and whatever other sticks and fluids they check) well enough to know what he was looking at.

Everywhere I go the locking mechanism that was once there (to hold the gas handle open to pump gas) is now absent. It has never occurred to me to try and jam my gas cap in there because I was too lazy to hold the nozzle and press the thingamajig.

    People are something else. lol

when youre filling a 3/4 ton 4x4 with extra large tank from a slow as fuck pump in -30C snowstorm youll understand quickly why people jam the cap in there

Lived in nj for the first 30+ years of my life. And I used to love not having to pump my own gas. And defended it whenever the subject came up online.
Somewhere over the last 8+ years after moving south I decided that waiting for a gas attendant takes way too long. I can pump my own gas much quicker than anyone in nj can.

its been a year now since i switch cell phone services

was paying over $250 a year with rogers...and service sucked

switched to PC mobile which uses bell towers (bell tower is much closer to me) and last year cost me less than $85

best part about bell tower is i can use the phone in the house...with rogers it would ring and id have to hurry outside to get a good signal from the deck

    Hot tub.

I love my sister-in-law's hot tub; especially when it's snowing.

I have a hot tub and loved it. Then the motor broke now it's just a tub.
I guess a motor wouldn't have broke on a sauna.
However the maintaining it part was well worth it back when it worked.

i just dont want to build two things. i had a feeling sauna would be easier. i might still figure out a wood-fired hot tub, but the sauna will be easier to start with. just planning where/ how much space i need to reserve in my yard for things i want.

i am making a sourdough starter. need to find recipes for the "discard" portion. might make a batch of english muffins

Tried some weed for the first time in, like, a bazillion years, and...

Meh. Wasn't my thing then; still isn't.

I really didn't like the way it made me feel at all, to be honest. Am I still allowed to hang out here?
