didn't hear my boarder get up and come downstairs...she shut off my dripping tap and now my kitchen is froze again


hopefully my luck will hold with my van starting this morning so I can cross over and do some shopping....I as thinking off checking out an organiccreamery near here and see what 7 dollar a liter milk taste like

 

Watched the movie Dazed and Confused for the first time last Sat. IFC channel had it on a few times. I watched it once then a few hours later I watched it again.

It's now a fav.

Now I know the origin of 'Alright, Alright, Alright' saying I still here to this day.

Back in the late 70's did the seniors really go around Paddling the freshmen? If it's true seemed alittle off.

neighbor with the dogs just dropped off a 40 pounder of Appleton estates whiskey....very generous....gonna see if I can trade it for rum at the island store because this whiskey has a very heavy oak flavor...not good in coffee

 

That sounds like The Mother. I even had to turn on the tap last night so I slept with both ears open for her to wander out of bed and do just that. In the past she has even asked me WHY IS THE TAP RUNNING (barely dripping)...when I told her it was because running water won't freeze you would have thought I was telling her Aesop's fables were all true. She almost lost her mind going on about how "that can't be". smh

Sometimes I wonder how she could live to be almost a century old and not know some real basic things.

 

toothache,,,headache...infected sinuses...dry lungs (until the infection moves there) and my lungs are already weak...and now my back popped when i sat up in bed this morning

feels like the tops of my kidneys were connected by something that went TWANG with a hell of a lot of pain when it did it....i have no idea what it could be but a super hot shower helped a bit

 

need to go shopping too...used my last few kleenex making nose tampons last night

new year... same me. hah.

its above freezing today, and the sun is out. nice to thaw a bit. supposed to get into the 50s later this week. i need to get stuff for amending the garden, but i cant do the work parts until i have new gloves because i got blisters raking over the weekend. planning to get fence-building stuff too, to surround the front yard garden and create a visual barrier. maybe get stuff for a cold frame out front too.

i have so much to do. but a lot of our bills are under control better too. we can build a proper budget, and future-plan.

We're suppose to have a heatwave tomorrow, high of 27F.. and then 3F.. it was -3F at one of our classification yards this morning. Hope they feed them as well as they feed us.

Boss switched out our regular coffee maker with a Kurig.

This new coffee sucks

 

I bought my team a nespresso because I like it.

 

Also so I can steal coffee capsules for home. ​

 

30 some people in our office 24/7 except holidays. no way would the kurig replace the industrial coffee makers.

 

We have an espresso/cappucino machine too. But shit, we have like 50 people all making individual cups of coffee. Half the day is gone.

Making a pot for everyone was easier.

 

Yeh nespresso takes ages lol. And I can never be arsed to do the milk so I do one or two coffee shots in a large mug then pour in like satchel caramel coffee and mix it all in and then I microwave milk for 33 seconds and it's done, before a nespresso milk would heat. And overflow like it always bloody does and then gotta clean that up.
