It's unusual for six members to resign and for a president to suddenly fire the rest via a Fedex form letter without explanation at the end of December when the nomination deadline for new members is Jan 2, 2018.

For Trump, the disoriented move is not unexpected considering his lack of elected office experience, lack of ability to appoint new qualified people in a timely manner to unfilled positions, inability to accept views other than his own, and his demand for complete loyalty to him.

Trump has had similar problems with his manufacturing council whose CEO's disbanded and his arts and humanities advisory panel whose members disbanded on their own accord. Both of those groups are completely gone and Trump hasn't re-established them.. The loss of the manufacturing council is particular embarrassing for Trump who has claimed he is very interested in working class jobs.

"Trump's proposed 2018 budget would have included major cuts to HIV/AIDS policy, including $150 million in HIV/AIDS programs at the CDC and $1 billion in global aid to fight the epidemic. But Congress opted to continue funding the programs at their previous levels."

 

In his classic obstructionist approach, Trump uses a box truck to block journalists from seeing him at his golf course while he is supposedly, in Trump's own words, back at work to Make America Golf Again (correction: Make America Great Again).

Trump might want to hire more inexpensive foreigners to fill in the gaps in the bushes. He could offer this type of job to his followers who think the lucrative jobs were stolen by the immigrants. They are counting on Trump to bring them back while he's enjoying another day at his mansions, golf resorts, and Trump-branded properties, the ones he said he'd never see again if he became President because he'd be too busy working. Such visits have accounted for about a third of his time as President.

As President, Trump has golfed 87 times (three times more than Obama) and has spent 112 days on his Trump-owned properties.

The box truck came from the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office, probably at tax payer expense. Trump probably complained to the Secret Service (or someone) who then contacted the PBSO to bring one of its trucks to obstruct the view of Trump.

It would be cheaper to simply fill in the gaps in the bushes. Or build a wall around his golf course. Trump likes walls and fences, like the one he built at the property of the couple in Scotland adjacent to his golf course that he's been trying to expel by bullying.

PBSO initially made a statement that gave the impression that the truck wasn't theirs by saying they didn't order it to Trump's place. After its license plate was identified at both Trump's golf course and the PBSO parking lot, they later admitted it indirectly by saying that they would comply with such a request if needed. In other words, they didn't initiate it. Trump did, and they complied.

'augment protective posture' = block journalists from seeing Trump who is embarrassed to be seen yet again on his golf course.

 

No Magickman, it is not funny. The White Christian Klansmen of Indiana have always wanted a government which excludes minorities from prosperity. They never wanted minorities to succeed in the workplace, or any other part of social life. The White managers of the White owned businesses always said, "You've got to keep 'em hungry, otherwise they won't work." That means the White Christian Klan business model is to deny adequate pay and adequate benefits like health insurance to their workers. Does that sound familiar? Well, the Klan's new home Republican Party does not want Americans to have a living wage, does not want families to have vacations, does not want minorities to have health insurance, does not want equal pay for women and minorities; but, Republicans demand enforcement of Christianity at restaurants and bakeries. Does all that sound familiar? Republicans also enforce this White Christianity by repeating words from the Bible. They say God gave Adam and Abraham the world and all of its blessings; therefore, they translate that to rape and destruction by mining and timber corporations of our planet. No, it is not funny Magickman. As far as I am concerned. the Klan and the Republican Party are not model Americans. They are evil Americans!

 

He does not want poor people to have anything! No living wage, no public housing, no social security, no health care, no clean air, no clean water, no FDA inspected foods, no protections from extortionate banking practices, no public radio, no public education, no... But wait, he claims to be everyone's president?

 

And how many years has Gowdy been blowing money at Ben Ghazi, while Republicans complain about Mueller's costs?

I know the Klan had a strong presence in Indiana in earlier times..but I don't believe they do now. I looked it up a while back, as I used to work with a couple of them.

I do not believe the present Republican party is racist.
What you are seeing is a return to more Christian values. Like the cartoon on FB showing Santa and Jesus standing in front of Trump's desk, he says "welcome back guys".
Obama's reign brought a strong racial/ socio-economic divide in our culture that tried to set us back to pre- Martin Luther King days. We all know that, some just won't admit it.
