Sorry Moonglow, I did not want to be the one to bring this news. I just saw it on a notice from one of my Democrat emails. We are just going to have to let more of our people know and keep donating for our causes. Republicans see nothing sacred in this country. They only see money.
Uh, they were Taliban, not ISIS. There is a difference. But why worry about specific facts when we can speak in generalities. At last report they were abiding by the conditions of their release. Anyway, nothing like what Nixon did...at....all.
Wow, you all blow my mind...Conspiracy Theory? Who do you think you're kidding? I would so love to share this all with my friends, but I'm not going to waste my time. What a joke... You Dems all play the same game, I read about it on the net a couple of years ago. I'm not buying...Have a nice party. Hillary didn't fool everybody either, that's why the tissues are out. I hope you all get four more years of Trump, and then hopefully Trey Gowdy will make a run in 2020. The only hope you all have is Joe Biden, at least he's good for a laugh with his "gaffes"... Between Hillary and Obama, Dems completely lost their credibility in America. Sure you have some stray snowflakes, but you didn't fool the majority this time. Hillary would have sold us out to China, Russia or North Korea. Whatever benefits the Clinton Foundation and New World Order is what it would be. I don't want to see my kids grow up like that. I'm about a free America. No room for psychological tribalism in my heart.
It's unusual for six members to resign and for a president to suddenly fire the rest via a Fedex form letter without explanation at the end of December when the nomination deadline for new members is Jan 2, 2018. For Trump, the disoriented move is not unexpected considering his lack of elected office experience, lack of ability to appoint new qualified people in a timely manner to unfilled positions, inability to accept views other than his own, and his demand for complete loyalty to him. Trump has had similar problems with his manufacturing council whose CEO's disbanded and his arts and humanities advisory panel whose members disbanded on their own accord. Both of those groups are completely gone and Trump hasn't re-established them.. The loss of the manufacturing council is particular embarrassing for Trump who has claimed he is very interested in working class jobs. Trump Fires All Remaining Members of Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS The controversial move followed the highly publicized resignation of six members in August 2017 and has been described as unusual. Trump Fires All Remaining Members of Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS From the article: "In interviews with the Washington Post, however, previous council members stated that past appointees were able to complete their entire terms, an opportunity not afforded to those let go this week. Patrick Sullivan, an Emory epidemiologist appointed to a four-year term in May 2016, argued that continuity of personnel was an important aspect of the council, providing both stability and fresh ideas: “It is important to have a rolling, transitioning body that crosses administrations that really has a set of diverse outlooks on the epidemic.” Gabriel Maldonado, an Obama appointee whose term would have ended in 2018, was among those let go this week. In an interview with the Washington Blade, Maldonado argued that although turnover between administrations is not uncommon, the recent terminations were abnormal for two reasons: These terminations came nearly a full year into the new administration, and many Obama appointees had been only recently re-sworn in under President Trump at the end of their Obama-appointed terms when Trump extended PACHA through executive order in September 2017: “It is common for appointees to be terminated and for folks to kind of want their own people in. I think where the discrepancy comes in is why a year later, No. 1? Two, many of us, our terms were over earlier this year and we were sworn back in, and three were stayed on nearly four months after an executive order was signed continuing the council.”"
White House Fires Entirety of HIV/AIDS Advisory Council Via FedEx Tom McKay December 30, 2017 https://gizmodo.com/white-house-fires-entirety-of-hiv-aids-advisory-council-1821656317 From the article: "Obama similarly cleared out George W. Bush’s PACHA appointees upon taking office, but with the mission of revamping the council to take on a more active role after it was largely sidelined by Bush. As Newsweek noted, Trump hasn’t even yet appointed an Office of National AIDS Policy chief, despite the disease’s deadly persistence in much of the country and thousands of resulting deaths a year—the first time the role has been left vacant since 1993. While Health and Human Services is accepting nominations to replace the fired council members, it’s probably a near-certainty Trump will simply stack it with dubiously qualified nominees more concerned with pushing through a conservative agenda (say, abstinence-only sex ed) than evaluating evidence-based approaches to the crisis. His prior nominees for scientific roles have included a right-wing radio host for USDA chief scientist as well as climate change skeptics and toxic chemicals lobbyists at the EPA, while the CDC allegedly directed staff preparing budget documents not to use words like “transgender” and “science-based” in order to avoid Republican ire."
Congress didn't go along with Trump's proposed budget cuts for HIV/AIDS programs. President Trump fires all members of HIV/AIDS council by FedEx letter He gave no explanation. By Michael Martin Published : December 29, 2017 President Trump fires all members of HIV/AIDS council by FedEx letter "Trump's proposed 2018 budget would have included major cuts to HIV/AIDS policy, including $150 million in HIV/AIDS programs at the CDC and $1 billion in global aid to fight the epidemic. But Congress opted to continue funding the programs at their previous levels."
In his classic obstructionist approach, Trump uses a box truck to block journalists from seeing him at his golf course while he is supposedly, in Trump's own words, back at work to Make America Golf Again (correction: Make America Great Again). Trump might want to hire more inexpensive foreigners to fill in the gaps in the bushes. He could offer this type of job to his followers who think the lucrative jobs were stolen by the immigrants. They are counting on Trump to bring them back while he's enjoying another day at his mansions, golf resorts, and Trump-branded properties, the ones he said he'd never see again if he became President because he'd be too busy working. Such visits have accounted for about a third of his time as President. As President, Trump has golfed 87 times (three times more than Obama) and has spent 112 days on his Trump-owned properties. Big Truck Tries to Block CNN From Filming Donald Trump Golfing By Lisa Ryan December 27, 2017 4:12 pm This Big Truck Is Trying to Block CNN From Filming Donald Trump Golfing
The box truck came from the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office, probably at tax payer expense. Trump probably complained to the Secret Service (or someone) who then contacted the PBSO to bring one of its trucks to obstruct the view of Trump. It would be cheaper to simply fill in the gaps in the bushes. Or build a wall around his golf course. Trump likes walls and fences, like the one he built at the property of the couple in Scotland adjacent to his golf course that he's been trying to expel by bullying. PBSO initially made a statement that gave the impression that the truck wasn't theirs by saying they didn't order it to Trump's place. After its license plate was identified at both Trump's golf course and the PBSO parking lot, they later admitted it indirectly by saying that they would comply with such a request if needed. In other words, they didn't initiate it. Trump did, and they complied. Truck-Gate: Mystery box truck blocks cameras located in PBSO parking lot by Mike Magnoli Truck-Gate: Mystery box truck blocks cameras located in PBSO parking lot Statement by PBSO: "Again, as previously stated, a member of our management team DID NOT order a box truck to block views of the President, however, if officers at the golf course believed it was necessary to augment the protective posture at the time, they are empowered to do so."
'augment protective posture' = block journalists from seeing Trump who is embarrassed to be seen yet again on his golf course.
No Magickman, it is not funny. The White Christian Klansmen of Indiana have always wanted a government which excludes minorities from prosperity. They never wanted minorities to succeed in the workplace, or any other part of social life. The White managers of the White owned businesses always said, "You've got to keep 'em hungry, otherwise they won't work." That means the White Christian Klan business model is to deny adequate pay and adequate benefits like health insurance to their workers. Does that sound familiar? Well, the Klan's new home Republican Party does not want Americans to have a living wage, does not want families to have vacations, does not want minorities to have health insurance, does not want equal pay for women and minorities; but, Republicans demand enforcement of Christianity at restaurants and bakeries. Does all that sound familiar? Republicans also enforce this White Christianity by repeating words from the Bible. They say God gave Adam and Abraham the world and all of its blessings; therefore, they translate that to rape and destruction by mining and timber corporations of our planet. No, it is not funny Magickman. As far as I am concerned. the Klan and the Republican Party are not model Americans. They are evil Americans!
He does not want poor people to have anything! No living wage, no public housing, no social security, no health care, no clean air, no clean water, no FDA inspected foods, no protections from extortionate banking practices, no public radio, no public education, no... But wait, he claims to be everyone's president?
And how many years has Gowdy been blowing money at Ben Ghazi, while Republicans complain about Mueller's costs?
Obama is still more admired than Trump. President Trump is America's second-most admired man, poll finds By Karma Allen Dec 28, 2017, 4:09 AM ET Trump is America's second-most admired man, poll finds From the article: "Trump trailed former President Barack Obama as the most admired man for 2017, according to a Gallup poll released Wednesday, marking one of the very few times in recent history that an incumbent president hasn’t taken the top spot. “Trump's unpopularity is holding him back from winning the most admired distinction,” Gallup’s Jeffrey Jones said Wednesday. “The incumbent president is the usual winner since he is arguably the most prominent figure in the country -- but when the president is unpopular, other well-known and well-liked men have been able to finish first.” "Former presidents commonly make the top 10 list but rarely win, with Obama only the second to do so, along with Eisenhower in 1967 and 1968," he added."
I know the Klan had a strong presence in Indiana in earlier times..but I don't believe they do now. I looked it up a while back, as I used to work with a couple of them. Not much happening here now with them, I believe it's a good thing. I do not believe the present Republican party is racist. What you are seeing is a return to more Christian values. Like the cartoon on FB showing Santa and Jesus standing in front of Trump's desk, he says "welcome back guys". Obama's reign brought a strong racial/ socio-economic divide in our culture that tried to set us back to pre- Martin Luther King days. We all know that, some just won't admit it.
Oh. Now it makes sense. It is very spiritual of the right wing Christians to worry about the endangered species, i must say. I think I am more spiritual than that, and I am not even religious. How very Christian to cut of elephant's trunks......while the other elephants can mourn their loss....What a great religion! All beings on this planet count....period. Any religion that says otherwise is not for me! So very Christian of him....as he stacks up more millions, too....all for himself.. and what about the other religions in the country?...and the non religious....? There is supposed to be separation between govt and religion...unless we are all going back into the dark ages. Sigh.
What did I tell you! The Republicans have made the next move in their two-step. Oh, gee. Now that we've increased the debt, it's way too high. Something must be done! So predictable! As U.S. budget fight looms, Republicans flip their fiscal script
