I'm not a Trump supporter, and I agree the Republicans forgot a lot of the environmental concerns. That saddens me on several fronts. Global warming is was and will happen however. Regardless of our environmental stance. So I can't hate all of the environmental stances taken. We can do a better job on keeping our water clean, our air clean, our earth more until effed with, but I also recognize it's been heating and cooling on it's own for a few million years now. And I think we need to drill and acquire more oil Wells while still being responsible to it's environmental impacts. Rely less on foreign oil and yes develop alternative fuel technologies.
Now on to the bullshit. The great “stimulus” heist...... Operation Fast and Furious........a flawed program which continued the gun walking started under Bush. Not much there. Eric Holder held in contempt of Congress....see above. ObamaCare....doing fine despise the attacks by Trump and the Republicans. Spying on journalists....all done under subpoenas and warrants. The IRS scandal... ...again nothing there. Benghazi.....nothing there. Hillary Clinton’s secret server..... The Pigford scandal....no scandal, the law was passed by a majority vote, after public hearings, there were no fraudulent claims, Obama didn't sponsor it or vote on it. NSA spying scandal..introduced by Bush as PRISM, and repeatedly authorized by bipartisan congresses, hardly something which rests solely on Obama's shoulders. Bowe Bergdahl...we have a policy of leaving no soldier behind, Carter, Reagan, Clinton, and Bush all worked deals with "the enemy" to secure the release of hostages. But Bergdahl wasn't a hostage he was a prisoner of war as he was captured in a war zone while in uniform, the U.S. has a long history of negotiating for POWs. Iran nuclear deal and ransom payment...more BS. ..and I quit. Nothing to compare to what Nixon did.
We have to stand together and get some democrats elected. We have to do exactly what they do to us, repeal and replace the entire Republican agenda!
Holy Jesus. Bergdhal was a deserter. The military told Obama so before the release. He has been tried and convicted as such. They risked lives trying to recover him. Further he was traded for 4 high ranking terrorist commanders that I'm absolutely certain cost the lives of more than one American to capture in the first place. To compare this to previous peisoner swaps is about as crazy as.....oh wait...I forgot....nevermind I see why apples will never be oranges no matter how much they scream apple at me. There is no point in using any sort of logic. I never understood the term snowflakes, until I see them in action. Gives me little hope the Dems are gonna get it for the foreseeable next few years.
I live in Republican Indiana and I say they all like the Klan and like Trump and like Pence. The Klan openly endorsed the Trump/Pence ticket. And, for your information, Charlie Manson WANTED TO START A RACE WAR...exactly what Spencer and the ALT RIGHT WANT...and exactly what the 211 Prison Crew wants...and exactly what Robert Matthews wanted. Trump and Pence have managed to bring 'em all together.
Ahem...It was YOUR party that changed a good thing to begin with- The healthcare system. I didn't even qualify for Obamacare, and was not working at the time. Now that's helpful. Everyone I've talked to who had to make the switch paid more...some a LOT more. Many people hate Obamacare with a passion. Don't go blaming that damn Republican Party for that fiasco!
Sounds like you're in the wrong place then. Go to Californica if you don't like Indiana. You'll be right at home there. Trump did not advocate the KKK, they advocated him. That isn't his fault... Sounds to me like you would like a race war. That's just stupid on so many levels and we all know it. But always the Dems bringing it up. Study your 1800s history and tell us what party liked the KKK back then...and endorsed slavery. Now there's you all a history lesson.
And in trade we gave them four or five of their more brutal people back. Nice trade, powerful demons for a deserter. Jeez...
No we were having a major healthcare crisis before the ACA. Healthcare premiums were already on the rise, insurance companies were denying people based on preexisting conditions, people who werent offered insurance through their employer just didnt have it. I was one of them, I got thrown off my mom's insurance as soon as I was out of school and went a few years without any insurance at all until I finally found a job that offered it. Luckily for me I didn't have to be hospitalized during that time but can you imagine..something like that would have financially ruined me and has ruined many others. And who knows how many people died because they couldnt get treatment for life threatening conditions due to not having insurance I dont think the ACA is what we needed either because I think we need to move completely away from an insurance based, profit based system to a single payer non profit system. The ACA is basically a band aid, but there was a reason it came about in the first place. The system wasnt fine before it
Trump administration fires all members of HIV/AIDS advisory council by Ben Guarino December 29 at 3:10 PM Trump administration fires all members of HIV/AIDS advisory council excerpts: "The remaining members of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS were fired en masse this week. Months after a half-dozen members resigned in protest of the Trump administration's position on health policies, the White House dismissed the rest through a form letter." "Schoettes was among those who quit in June, and he went out with a fiery commentary in Newsweek. “The Trump Administration has no strategy to address the on-going HIV/AIDS epidemic, seeks zero input from experts to formulate HIV policy, and — most concerning — pushes legislation that will harm people living with HIV and halt or reverse important gains made in the fight against this disease,” he wrote in the column."
Lol maybe he should just leave America all together. If he doesn't like it there because of the KKK just. . git out! ... right?
Jumping Jehoshaphat. magickman was trying to make the case that Obama did worse things than Nixon. Getting one of soldiers back from the enemy is not as bad as criminal conspiracy. I'm not condoning Bergdhal's actions, but I'm not in favor of leaving one of our soldiers with the enemy. First of all we don't leave our soldiers behind. Second, he deserved his day in court. Third, he was sentenced to be dishonorably discharged, reduced to private, and fined $10,000. All charges are being reviewed. Fourth, Obama denied him a pardon. Fifth, Bergdhal was a decorated five year combat veteran having received the Combat Infantryman Badge, ten overseas service bars, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terror Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon. Sixth, he was a prisoner of war for 5 years. Seventh, the five Taliban members who were release were being held without charges. They were released to house arrest in Qatar. Eighth, yes men risked their lives for him, that's what soldiers do for each other. Ninth, I have no idea how you're so certain the five men released (not four) have cost any more American deaths. Please cite your source. Anyway, it's not like the Rebels we swapped back to the South in the Civil War went home and took up knitting. Tenth, the U.S. has a long history of swapping for prisoners before the Civil War starting with the Revolutionary War. Oh wait...I forgot....nevermind, I see why we should have left him in enemy hands without the benefit of at least hearing his side of the story, since the rise of the Alt Right we now commonly convict people without trials. Fuck this flag: We don't bring everyone home now...we pick and choose. After all his father had a beard.
And an important statement you managed to leave out...“Changing the makeup of federal advisory committee members is a common occurrence during administration changes,” Hayes said in the statement. “The Obama administration dismissed the George W. Bush administration appointees to PACHA in order to bring in new voices. All PACHA members are eligible to apply to serve on the new council that will be convened in 2018.”
Everyone I talked to paid less, some a lot less. Of course I'm in PA one of the 32 states that expanded Medicare.
...And we gave them four or five confirmed "very dangerous" ISIS troublemakers for him...what a fantastic trade, Obama! Great job!!
You are wrong again. There was a flip-flop of the parties around 1972 when Nixon was president. Charles Colson and Jerry Falwell convinced Nixon to take up the ideas of the Silent Majority and Moral Majority to bring the conservatives to the Republican Party. It worked. The Democrat Party became what it is today during that time. The Republican Party now stands for what Marion Indiana Klan organizer DG Stephenson wanted: A takeover of government by White Christian conservative men who happen to be wealthy business and land owners. Their objective was also to control government in a way to exclude the Negros and Mexicans and other minorities. Klansmen in Indiana always tell people who they don't like to pack it up and go somewhere else. During the 1970s the Klansmen of Indiana always had bumper stickers that read "America Love It Or Leave It" just to intimidate minorities.
Trump and the GOP have 5 bills that are going to dismantle the Endangered Species Act. That means endangered animals will be hunted and killed and corporations will destroy animal habitat so they can mine what they want...for profit.
This news just shot me through the heart. great......Trumpsters can have the world they envision then.... a great big Trump Casino and hotel amusement park.......with nothing majestic left anymore.....sad, very sad. I never knew I could HATE anyone this much.
