some of the best movies that have been mentioned here are Kissing Jessica Stein (the movie that saw my straight, male friend declare his new ambition to be a lesbian). I just love the refreshing yet lovely realism of it :)

For less sweet, more cynical 'romance' The Rules of Attraction is quite..interesting.

Beautiful Thing is well, beautiful. I adore it.

And I thought The Hours could fit in here as well.

The movie mentioned before but not in full title is Boys Don't Cry
Get Real - it was an ok movie
Personal Best - have not seen it, but I heard it was good too
If you guys like comedy I recomend Ellen Degeners, or Magaret Cho, or Out Comedy 2 (?), Elvira Kurt is also a great lesbian comic.
    French Twist - Good movie
The Closet - again haven't seen it yet
Amiee and Jaguar - again haven't seen it yet

As mentioned before Lost and Delirous and Ma Vie en Rose are great great great films!

A couple of my fav's--Too Wong Foo Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar----Patrick Swayze made a damn fine looking chick.

    Priscilla queen of the Desert

One I saw one time called Love, Amour, Compassion. I forget who the main actor was but Jason Alexander was in it and for better or worse dressed up or down into just an apron giving all a butt shot.

Oh I know... I love the part where she's yelling... "it's Vicki loves Tori... not girl loves girl!!!"

    Oh, sweet tears. :D

what?... oh, you mean the part where mouse goes "you're a girl in love with a girl" and paulie says "no, i'm paulie in love with tori, remember?" yeah that was sad, but the two parts i cried most are when the ani song kicks in and paulie is bawling and when tori lies to her sister and says she's "boy crazy" and then she starts to walk away and she's crying.

oh I have a bunch of favorites! If you can find any of these I really recommend them...

~'All over me' It's so wonderful, and it has Leisha Haily from The Murmers in it! [IMG] I want to watch it again so bad, but I can't find a copy and it's only ever on in the middle of the night, maybe once a year...
    ~'Show Me Love'
    ~'When Night is falling'
~'Foxfire' more so just a movie about rebellious teenage girls, but there's some Angelina Jolie scenes...

~'Nelligan' It's sort of a sub-plot in his passionate 4 year writing career, awesome movie.

Heavenly Creatures is a GREAT movie! I watched it for the third time earlier today (I finally gave in and bought it), which is odd that it was mentioned. And Boys Don't Cry is excellent!
