Holy shit! I saw a meteorologist get hit in the head by a flying stop sign earlier, the video cut out right after that so who knows if shes okay or not
I saw on the news that people tied their animals to trees and fled outta there.that doesn't sit well with me.many shelters are taking pets.many of them.
So, I'm at our friends in downtown Orlando area and it's just rain so far. It's supposed to get bad later but think it's downgraded to a cat 2. Hoping for the best!! ^_^
Exactly.if people were gonna be that heartless, atleast let the animals go off on their own and try to find shelter themselves! being tied up is plain torture
The eye of the storm is currently at Naples, Florida, which is 173 miles away from me. It's not moving very fast, so it could take a while for the storm to reach me, sometime tonight while I'm sleeping, though can I sleep?
Schools are closed here tomorrow, I dunno why. I dont think bad weather is supposed to reach us until tomorrow evening
Safety reasons, to give people time to prepare for the storm. Everything here closed last night even though the brunt of the storm isn't reaching us until tonight.
I've been reading (on fb lol) where school buses are only considered safe for winds that are up to 30mph or maybe 35. Anyway, I've gathered the schools are closing due to the possible wind and heavy rain. A couple of bus drivers said driving those buses in just bad storms was "very hairy", so they are taking precautions because of the buses at this point in time (or that is what I think).
These sorry mfsobs that are leaving their precious animals TETHERED to fences and what not make me want to vomit. I sincerely hope ALL of them that have done such a sorry heartless thing are haunted by that animal for the rest of their sorry lives. smh
