i have no idea how those other canadians can take winter either...

they call my area north but theres many spots in many states are further north than me...i cant imagine living in alberta or newfieland during the winter...or the arctic...they are all crazy

NOW..I'm posting a sort of unusual pic of 2 MOONflowers blooming at once! I took the pic just a little while ago. They smell like I think heaven should or would smell.

 

I hope heaven smells like an auto mechanic's shop. Since my dad's funeral I can't stand the smell of flowers. Even the smell of honeysuckle and locust trees in the spring makes me nausous.

im sensitive to smells

flowers perfumes exhaust roofing tar asphalt and diesel fuel are probably the worst

 

You ain't prying...it's been six years. I first noticed the thing about flowers when I went into his credit union to take care of some business and they had a flowering plant sitting inside the door, it just made me sick to my stomach. But to each his own.

I've always hated the tradition of sending flowers when someone passes. The arrangements always look so grotesque and what is a grieving family supposed to do with all those flowers anyways?

Smells and memory associations are weird though. One of my favorite smells in the world is the smell of a hardware store just because it reminds me of my dad.

When I go, if anybody is there to give a shit , I don't want flowers...I want donations given to the Humane Society here in the town where I live.
