I steamed a home grown artichoke today. It's the first one I have ever cooked, and the first time in the safety of my home and family to learn.
I made some garlic butter too dip in.
I am quite pleased. Looking forward to eating the rest!
I got distracted by pulling weeds, so it overcooked by about an hour. Still good though.

 

Oh, hf is gonna piss me right off if I can't share by garden pics. I'm working hard to grow this stuff, let me share!
I have beans that seem happy, lots of flowers coming and going, but no baby beans yet... Gotta keep an eye on them

 

Just passed broadkill road. I thought that was the greatest name for a road I have seen in a while. Well...until I found out there is a broadkill river and broadkill beach.

 

well Buddy got his first bath/shower inside at the new house. The master bathroom has a shower that is about 3' square, we have tried to get him in there to get clean a few different times without much luck.
Today My daughter, #5, enticed him up there with some chicken and then we threw a piece in the shower in the hopes that he would go in and get it, nope he just stood there looking at it or trying to get out and go downstairs.
Finally I tried to get him to go in by putting his front paws in the shower and the little shit collapsed on the floor and went "boneless" on me!!! (anyone who has kids knows what "boneless" means).
So I picked his 100lb pound puppy ass up and put him in the shower then my daughter got in there with him and proceeded to bath him. He sat there looking at me as if he were on death row..LOL.

But of course once it's all over he prances and preens all around and shows everyone that he is clean, what a goof.
Now he is soft, clean and smells good,

Oh, and he has totally mastered stairs now and takes them two steps at a time!
applied to a couple of local jobs today, wish me luck. Need to get rid of that fuckin' 33 mile one way commute for a shit job, costs about $50-$70 a week in gas alone, not to mention the time.

There was a road near my high school called Jackass Hill.

 

I've hadn't such a long morning guys and it's winding down now our first group of pool trials has gone really quickly and unfortunately I don't see myself progressing through to the next round. I just haven't been on it there's been a lot of drama with our tables our group has voted one away as it was terrible. They have rolls the rubbers are angled they're just terrible but I can't use that as an excuse, I've let.. 3 maybe 4 games slip away from here.

It's a tough group though what's a shame is we have 8 really good opponents. There's no "noobs" so it's a shame 5 of us will miss out. That's made me feel better though a bit.

I've beaten the best here though 2/3 games and beaten some other good players just a few heart breaking losses. I've few games to go not sure of the scores, but think I'll need a miracle and win out from here.

Definitely disappointed here. I just won another game against a guy I'd never beaten before so I'm up 2/3 against him too.

I mean there's a lot of positives but my yearly goal was to make it out of this round and it's not happening. I got tough skin though, this'll make me more determined than ever.

 

I have 10 liters of insecticidal soap all mixed and ready to go...have to take care of a fucking spider invasion in my garden tomorrow....2 misters with 10 liters I know already my hands are going to be sore

kinda my fault...I told buddy we need more space and he took a weedwacker to a small area and cleared for me but every bug living in that area moved 20 feet over to my weed plants looking for food
