After seeing Alien: Covenant, I felt compelled to go back to re-watch this to see what I missed and if I could pick up on anything else, it's interesting because initially after I saw this movie a few years ago, I didn't really have any desire to see it again. But watching it after seeing Alien: Covenant, some of the parts made more sense. These movies definitely orient themselves more to the existential and philosophical in comparison to what I remember of the original Alien series.


I enjoyed Alien: Covenant, there are enough similar themes to the past movies, that I can see those looking for something completely new perhaps may be disappointed but part of that continuity kind of is appealing to me and there are some intriguing twists in it it, which really elucidated this world that is being portrayed.

Cool, I already hoped it would be more in the same vein as Prometheus! Rather than 'just' or mostly banal horror :cheers2:

 

Watched Next Friday last night. Recommend the Friday trilogy, absolute classic movies.
