It does kind of seem like a logical conclusion to things. The End of Things. To big a problem to worry about. I sincerely hope any escalation between World powers can be avoided. But then it's not my war. I kind of have own more immediately pressing one, one or two steps removed.
Bad move! http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/us-russia-air-strikes-syria-suspend-agreement-memorandum-direct-conflict-military-donald-trump-putin-a7671631.html http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/donald-trump-air-strikes-syria-vladimir-putin-kill-narrative-russia-us-relations-set-piece-chris-a7672256.html
This isn't another Cuban missile crisis. Russia is the junk yard dog of superpowers that will bite anyone that comes anywhere near them and the only reason they are in Syria at all is because there is a civil war going on. They are a friend of last resort for Assad who used to be allies with the US and still would be if it were not for his civil war. The free world has no use for a dictator who can't maintain control and Russia getting all pissy about the US firing missiles to remind them to act civil when they know damned well they have already won the war might, at worst, ratchet up the cold war again ever so slightly. Russia moving into the middle east is something nobody in the entire region is willing to accept because familiarity doth breed contempt and the idea of Russians coming to aid of Muslims is about as far fetched as pigs growing wings. Russia is nobody's friend unless you are desperate like Assad and, most definitely, Muslims are on the bottom of their list of friends. Ironically, Muslims are often friendly to communist ideas, but Russia is neither communist anymore nor have they ever done anything for Muslims except attack them with the same kind of lack of mercy they are showing now.
Yeah, and before the US led invasion of Iraq Saddam Hussein had WMD. "Mission Accomplished", though, so we're all safe now.
Mr Trump said in a recent interview that Washington was ready to act without Beijing's co-operation: "If China is not going to solve North Korea, we will."quote One angry man! He isn't happy with being the play boy who had everything! But is likely to be the person that goes down in history, who caused WW3!
Despite the Chinese supporting North Korea as, at least, helping to keep the US preoccupied and off balance, even they have been increasingly warning North Korea that they need to tone it down a bit. Unfortunately, that's like asking a junk yard dog to stop barking at everyone walking past and threatening their rival, Japan, that lives next door.
Anyone looking at this impending World War 3 thing lurking in the background. Anyone taking it seriously? Do people like Trump and Putin live in some kind of alternate reality to the rest of us? They need their heads checked. This is 2017. Nobody got time for this. The vast majority of regular citizens across the globe don't need this or want this. A few jumped up big kids at the top get offended and start playing risk with the future of the planet. I find it totally unacceptable. They need to back the Fuck off from this. People need to rise up and tell these idiots we're not fucking having this. This is our planet. Fuck governments and Fuck politicians. Our reality must overcome theirs. I'm inclined to freak out at no 10 about this. I love my life. It doesn't belong to you cretinous dolts. I don't believe you are acting in the best interests of the people. SAY NO TO WAR.
The man who contradicts every other word out of his own mouth, calls everything fake news, who insisted Obama was from Kenya and his birth certificate was a fake, and who then compared his wife to an ape was elected by the American people. Obviously, it is you who live in an alternate reality because reality TV is now where the American people live.
There's no point being trite and clever Dick about this. I'm being "serious".You'd be surprised how many billions of people across the globe are actually pretty turned on to this kind of thing, and,as this hots up,will get increasingly so.
Okay maybe it's around 3 or 4 people who give a shit. But those 3 or 4 are REALLY ANGRY!!! (Just trying to talk up a protest...Every little helps right.)
Who is being trite? Everything I wrote is factual. Trump is in office because there's money to be made in upsetting the apple cart, which is also why he is getting nowhere fast and why this isn't getting any hotter. If he became more of a loose cannon on deck than he already is the secret service themselves might shoot the man. The Roman emperors at least had the good sense to hire Germanic guards knowing they could never trust another Roman to guard them, but Trump doesn't have that choice.
Fair points you make, but truth be told no one knows how this will play out. It all seems a little precarious and there is some cause for concern. I sincerely hope this spat blows over but would encourage an active attitude. As with so much in life, it's not over till it's over.
Its just becoming more blatantly obvious than usual that nobody is in charge around here. The US and Russia have been at odds with one another since WWII and have close to nuclear war on more than a handful of occasions. You can either let it keep you awake at night or try to figure out some way of addressing the situation more constructively, but running in circles screaming and shouting that the sky is falling only adds to the already considerable confusion.
And now Trump has accused Russia of helping to cover-up the Syrian chemical attacks https://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/11/world/middleeast/russia-syria-chemical-weapons-white-house.html?_r=0 And North Korea warns of a nuclear strike if provoked http://www.reuters.com/article/us-northkorea-nuclear-idUSKBN17D0A4 We're rattling sabers in both the Middle East and the Far East. Winning a war or two seems to be the only way Trump can find any legitimacy as President. Hold on to your seats folks, it's show time!
^^ Wag the dog...and people will fall for it too. I remember (naively) thinking that US citizens wouldn't stand for the Iraq invasion that Bush began after 9/11. And I still can't believe how little outrage there is. We could start a war with Canada over some minor disagreement and there would be some here who would applaud. I'm a veteran, and proud of it, but I've advised younger people I know not to even consider the armed forces because of our whimsical attitude towards armed conflict...it makes me sick.
