I have a coating of ice on my east wall outside as well as a nice coat on most of my van

so I spose if its still there when I get out I will have to scrape it off

In the past couple of days I've been watching episodes of this show about Canadian border security, and it leaves me wondering what is up with people and their food?

Why do so many people feel the need to bring raw meat when they travel? Like the occasional sausage or something that doesn't exist where you're going is understandable, but why the fuck do people want to bring a big bag of raw chicken/pork/beef with them when they travel? Do they not think that meat exists in Canada? I sure as hell wouldn't want to eat meat that has been frozen and thawed a couple of times, sitting in my checked luggage for 12+ hours.

 

that show scares me from going across a border...they don't show it all either...they will check your browsing history on icloud if you have an iPhone

the food is crazy though...and do you notice its never wrapped nicely in sealed bags or containers....usually dripping and stinky...occasionally they show a weed guy returning...all buzzed out on something coming home from brazil with a backpack.....

Yeah I've seen that, they'll check browsing history, texts, images, documents on your laptop etc. etc. So really a good idea to not travel with too much illegal shit on your electronics, because they will force you to unlock it for them.

The food is always horribly packaged, exactly that - stinky and dripping. Often the border people say they smell it upon opening the bag, which says something about the quality of meat at that point.. That's a pretty terrifying story about the chicken the OPP seized though. And that was large quantities wasn't it?

The drug dudes are mostly funny though, and the border people do always make a point of saying that they don't care what you've done in other countries as long as you aren't bringing any drugs back etc. Those 'ion scanners' are pretty intense too, they can test if you've used your ID to chop up a line recently lol.

 

I took a Taylor ham on a plane to Pittsburgh. They made me open my bag but it's not like it was 12 hours. It was out about 3 hours.

 

i like that show...especially dog sniffer episodes

 

I always hated the one where they tell drunk people that they can't get on the plane. I can see if they are being loud or obnoxious but I have seen them refuse people that at most have very slight slurring and not bothering anyone .

guy comes over last week and says his passenger side front has something major wrong so i check it and wheel bearing is scary bad...tie rod end is loose too

so order parts and they come in yesterday...so today he comes over and i fix it all....test drive is awful those parts didnt help at all and i can tell its drivers side so i find some ice and spin the tires and can tell right away his tire isnt even round anymore the belts are broke so bad

 

This taylor ham is a smoked/cured product though, right? That's not as bad as straight up raw meat.

I also like the sniffer dog episodes. I always find it funny when they catch someone bringing in some weed and they pour out like 2g of some serious schwag. Why even bother smuggling that garbage? lol

 

my favourite one is when the guy says "yes thats my bag"....then they open it and he says "thats not my bag".......


then after treating him like total crap they eventually go out and find an exact same bag with exact same string on it that is actually the guys bag lol....they even apoplogized ..the guy was right it wasnt his bag but they were exact same youd never know until they opened it

 

It would be similar to scrapple if you know what that is.
It's packaged much better though.
