3 days on low with a 15 lbs tank. Had it on medium for half the time because of the cold yesterday and Friday. Lasted 3 days but had to turn it off a few times while I was out.

I forget how long it lasts on high. Haven't used it only on high in a few years.

 

might be better to get a 100 pound tank

propane only dangerous if the gas doesnt burn fully, those rated for indoor use are efficient and when you have a drafty cold house, kerosene and propane wont create enough CO .. my gas fireplace is ventless, it just a solid stone insert weights a ton .basically it runs for short bursts and shuts down ..it cant be made to run constant.

 

Had a 100 lb tank but had a dispute with the propane company so they came and took the tank back. I refuse to deal with them. And it isn't worth getting the hoses redone. This way works just fine.

 

i guess you cant own 100 pound tanks there?....

mine is my own and i just take it to costco and fill the same as the 20lb bbq tanks....as long as the tank test isnt expired (10 years) they cant really deny filling it

im on my last tank now ..next one will need to be re-valved and retest before theyll fill it....i use it for an old motorhome furnace installed in my shed

Sure I could buy one. I couldn't take it to Costco in my cruze though. And like I said it's better for me to just heat one room. The hoses for the tank they took goes all through the house. I live alone, I don't need all 11 rooms heated. Best I could do is clog all the vents but that didn't work so great when I had the big tank outside.
When the gas was taken away I heated the house using electricity (stove and electric radiator) cost in electricity was only 100 more a month. Gas was way more than 100 a month.

Now with this heater electric isn't even 100 a month and I just heat a room when I need it.

didn't i post about my bookie dead pool, and i wasgoing to pick zsa zsa but figured that she was like darth vader tied to machines that make her breathe .
