Really? A lot of the movie adaptations from Steven King books are pretty awful. There's a few exceptions like Shawshank Redemption but made for TV movies like The Stand and It butcher the books.

IT was okay. I am very excited about the remake.

Honestly, Stephen King books are so long and convoluted, I'd prefer to watch the movie. I don't have the patience to get thru a Stephen King book, frankly.

I liked Salem's Lot, The Stand, Firestarter, TommyKnockers, DreamCatcher and It .... but everything else he wrote was shit.

It's like he had brain damage and forgot how to write.

Currently reading BloodStone by Karl Edward Wagner .... featuring Kane the barbarian.

What really annoys me is all the self published shit that Amazon is spreading around, it's so hard to separate this worthless tripe from real books that I've almost given up reading modern fiction. I mean Jeez, find a publisher/editor/proofreader or throw it in the bin and get a real job.

I think an actual movie of It could have potential if it's not made for TV bullshit again. That story definitely deserves at least an an R rating, for some reason it seems some people remember that piece of crap being scary, but it was super hokey, maybe it's just the phobia of clowns some people have.

Yeah i stopped reading IT..i'll finish it one day, it wasnt bad per se..but 100 pages in and nothing really sucked me in by that point so I moved on to greener pastures. i'm sure it gets better, there are a lot of characters and a lot of character development to get through...but generally when a book hasnt grabbed me by 100 pages or so i lose patience.

But there were some scary scenes in that movie...I mean, Tim Curry was no angel on the screen.
