Well I am a bit biased but if you have to go to war it's a lot better to launch missliles from a thousand miles away than it is to be in the sand with an M-16. Besides, Chicks dig the uniform.

    hmmm
i would say air force (my dad is in the air force flying b-1's in Iraq right now :) )
but seeing as ur talking about 18 imma have to say the national guard. If you join the national guard theyll pay for your college and you dont have to work often so it wont interrupt ur schooling. Im heavily in favor of everyone getting a good college education so go with the NG so jsut in case you dont like the military u always ahve a college degree to fall back on.

    Don't be so narrow minded.

I've been in the service for over 5 years now as a medic helping those that are sick, and working closely with family members of those overseas when they need it most.

The army helped me get my head out of my ass when I needed it the most and whether I choose to stay in or get out they have given me the schooling and knowledge to be successful in almost anything I plan to do plus the opportunities to pursue the schooling I want for practicaly nothing when I choose to get out.

I joined the Army, but if I could do it again I would try for Airforce. Just think real hard about it and make sure you pick a job you want. The enlistment officer will try to get you to join the jobs they need to fill up the most by talking it up a pretty picture, but don't let them fool you. Most of those jobs are empty for a reason. Also try picking a job that will benefit you when you get out.

Why would anyone want to join the military -- period? You'd only become yet another worthless, expendable pawn of the globalists, and they already think you're weak, pathetic scum.

Like globalist, war criminal scumbag, piece of shit Henry Kissinger once said:

"Military men are just dumb stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy.

So go ahead and be a mindless stooge. Go ahead and have your guts blown out for people who couldn't care less about you and your meaningless life.

Yet, have you ever considered that you've been brainwashed into thinking that it is a "noble" thing?

No, I haven't. I just think it's noble to defend you're country. I'm sorry if you suck major balls and can't understand that.

So you think it's wrong to ask questions.... to question your government's intent?

You don't even know what this war is really about.... other than what you've been told.

Rat this type of exploitation of the american people has been going on since the constitution was drawn up. Nothing is going to change now.

I've been in 5 years and haven't seen action once because I've learned how to take advantage of the system. Anyone can do it in the military with a little know how. It also carries on to the civilian world as well. With this huge patriotism kick I get treated with great esteem when I come home to visit couple that with speeding tickets I've gotten out of because I'm military, free drinks in bars, and I was also voted Time magazine person of the year for 2003. Sure it's a bullshit war, but you just have to take the good with the bad.

Rat it seems to me you need to get out more.

Excuse me, but the purpose of the military (at least the US military) is to kill people. That is the purpose of a soldier, to kill people. You are not allowed to think about things like right or wrong or social responsibility or any of that jazz. As a soldier, your job is to kill and when you are told to, that is exactly what you will do.

...and incidentally, the job of a medic is to patch up the soldiers so they can get back on the feild and kill some more.

if you want to be a killer, knock yourself out, but don't romanticize or rationalize. There's nothing romantic about war. It's about killing other people. Kill or be killed.

well it all really depends on what you want to do.
you could go into a number of things...

    The navy
    navy seals
    seals
    marines
    national guard
    airforce
    army
    military
There are so many choices. Also it depends on what kind of schooling (if any) that you want. you should do some research on eachof these services and find out for yourself what you want to go to.

personally I wanted to go into the airforce but I couldn't because I have asthma and I wear glasses. so I got screwed.

Don't worry I could never rationalize with someone as close minded and brainwashed into thinking as you do.
