Sadly the company I work for requires that everyone wear the same horrible slip on steel toed rubber boots...
Not to mention the crawling zombies will bite your toes! Nike, Reebok and Caterpillar for my feet (barefoot in the house, but that's a Buddhist thing).
I never actually watched that TV show "Naked and Afraid" , maybe I should ! But in a survival situation like that I would have a huge advantage over the other contestants having gone barefoot for years and everyone else all beside themselves they never walked on anything but carpet their whole life... And what most people don't get is after the apocalypse, no one is cutting the grass and no more fire dept. Grass everywhere will grow 3 feet high and turn brown, lightning strikes then wildfires are going to consume pretty much everything. No more shoe stores or much of anything to loot from the old world that's flammable. The world won't look like those zombie movies with lets just move into any house we want and all kinds of free stuff everyplace. Nope. Wont be like that.
I almost forgot wile looking at Google images and thinking about apocalypse survival. When I started barefooting. It was a challenge to see if I could make it, I knew it was possible to adapt to barefoot and be able to go more then a few blocks from home before my feet hurt so bad I turned back. So if you are into survivalism try it. This is where I used to like to go to train. Paths go on for miles. I got be able to hike that barefoot no problem. More to it then thick skin, you just learn and it happens quick.
I am guessing they are the same my work gave us. They gave the option to pick our own though. Well worth buying $40. Boots from Walmart than those rubber POS'
it is ridiculous to compare a cast to a shoe.....ive had multiple surgeries on both feet and had casts on for long periods...really long......I promise you the shoes were like a gift from above when I finally had the casts removed it isn't a good comparison....and no one wears exactly the same shoes all the time for shoe foot to get serious I don't see the benefits out weighing the social stigma attached to hard core bare footing....my friends laughing at me behind my back...and my friends laughing to my face....lol..... good luck with your campaign dude.... where is nuspieds?...that dude is hardcore too
on a related note, whatever happened to ganesha? he seemed like a really cool dude with a great attitude.
We don't all live in Australia and America, not much chance of bush/wild fires in Europe. You're more likely to get frostbite.
dont need to....I agree with them....no need to pretend i'm back in the cave man era....ive evolved....I think native Canadians or indigenous Canadians are pretty smart as a population....as soon as they could make moccasins they did....so did every other society through out history Yabba dabba doo
Oh that sucks. To all my staff/employees we allow a budget for footwear but if they want better footwear they're at least allowed to pay the difference. I'd be going up to your managers like hey dickhead!! These might work for some people, but they don't work for me. And that right there, to me, cancels out that everyone was created equal.
I already thought of the evolution Why do they wear shoes on Star Trek ? If you can build a ship that does warp 9 it should have nice carpet or something throughout.
hold on a second scotty i know that time is short and we have to get down to that broken glass filled planet right away to save that guy in the red shirt but i have to put on my sneakers first
I already got that figured out. Keep the shoes in the transporter room same way I keep flip flops in my car trunk. Doesn't matter though, red shirt dude always dies. Don't wear the red shirt, if they try and force you quit starfleet.
I do wonder if we can make it, nuclear weapons have kept the peace for several generations but who knows.
