according to yahoo weather, it was hovering right around freezing about an hour ago, and will rise to around 50f, before falling again for the high this afternoon. the sun is shining bright out there. typical after a storm front passed through yesterday conditions. sunday and monday might see some percipitation, but cloudy and dry conditions likely for most of the next couple of weeks otherwise. with temps down where is typical for this time of year in this location.
in truth i never assume i know anything about anyone i've met only on line. even when i meet someone "in real life", i'm still not entirely sure that i do. (on line a one legged man can BE tarzan. or a talking cat, or e.t. for me, this is a major charm of it.)
Cold.... the snow has started... now I freeze my ass off on the way to and from a job that consists of standing in a giant freezer. Winter has somehow made the indoor freezer even colder too. Son of a bitch!
26c.... :sunny: ....Sitting Here In My "Birthday Suit" Sipping On A Glass Of Freezing Cold Wine......Life Is Good...... Cheers Glen.
got some frost on the ground this morning. it would be a euphamism of extreme fantasy to seriously call it snow. wide areas of cold pavement remain completely bare. but it does, sort of look like snow. well almost close enough anyway. paved surfaces are icy and treacherous enough, just conspicuously naked of anything resembling a contiguous white blanket.
Reached 30c Here This Afternoon.......Forecast 32/33 In The Next Two Days, Summer Is Only Two Days Away...... :sunny: Cheers Glen.
I have read somewhere that 'A positive attitude can change a heavy shower into a drizzle.' And I find it true in my experiences with harsh weather changes . If the mind is equanimous and balanced, the worse is changed to just bad. I personally hate harsh weather of any sort, but just adjust my mind accordingly to make it more bearable. In Russia, people actually take dips in cold water in frozen lakes after sawing off the top for healing purposes, in traditional healing centres around lakes developed for this purpose. It is a sort of tradition over there and I have read the story of a Russian bureaucrat who was suffering from a multitude of diseases who was eventually cured by such a dip in a frozen lake. Of course, this should be done under expert guidance. Later on, I read in a book on yoga, that baths in cold water increases prana or chi, thereby ridding the body of diseases caused by low prana. I hated cold water baths earlier, but upon reading the above, I now enjoy it.
First people have already ice skated on natural ice here this season! I noticed it was -8 C here this morning. Hope st. Nicolas will be ok on these wintry roofs!
29 F with snow forecast for tomorrow. Ordinarily 1 inch of snow is nothing but this early in the season and during morning rush hour; expect dozens of accidents and spin-outs throughout the area Hotwater
