Let me specify: Jack Dorcy and Mark Zuck are proven leftists regardless which area of the country you're in. Period. The staff of both companies has a proven track record of banning and suspending people; specifically celebrities and journalists with the wrong opinion. While they gloat about being a free speech platform. Azealia Banks was banned from twitter for endorsing Trump.

But I guess it's free speech by allowing blatantly hateful, violence inciting posts from Black Lives Matter and #KillAllMen to remain on their platform; or allowing ISIS to recruit new members on their platform [/sarcasm].

Twitter is the worst, as it has DELETED accounts from groups advocating women's rights in Saudi Arabia (they do this to please their largest share holders, the Saudis, obviously) http://heatst.com/world/twitter-suspends-accounts-dedicated-to-saudi-womens-rights/

It won't surprise me if Twitter suffers the same fate as MySpace

Now, I may follow my preferred journalists on my news feed, but I keep it somewhat fair as I follow other centrists and a few liberals too, so I don't trap myself in a libertarian echo chamber.

But yes, I get what you're saying to an extent. Rumors are easy to fabricate on social media, and it's often believed by the masses in a short period of time. Fact checking is necessary, and people who deliberately distort information need to be held accountable. However, televised media is also guilty of doing just that.

So the LGBT killings you are talking about are ones that were done in Saudi Arabia. So? I thought I said they had a terrible human rights record.

As far as the Russian hacks, there is ample proof, which you deny.

I'm not concerned with anything Hillary said, she lost. This is a tread about Trump protests.

To me the biggest threat to society and democracy was and is neoliberalism of which only one part was globalisation, the problem is that Americans (the English and many others) have consistently voted for neoliberalist politicians and policies.

And those voters can’t say that there were no warnings – people mainly from the left have been telling others about what these things could do for years. I’ve been pointing it out since I first came here in 2001. But way before then numerous left leaning commentators were wondering why so many Americans were voting against their own interests and for the interests of wealth.

    http://www.hipforums.com/forum/topic/331841-kicking-global-wealth-out-of-the-driving-seat/

Suddenly those same right wing voters seemed to have looked around and go ‘hey what happened’

Thing is have they leant any lessons no they seem to have latched onto ‘Globalisation’ separated from neoliberalism and then voted for someone that is a neoliberalist, just this time a National Neoliberalist.

Because a lot of people live outside of the US and we all live on one fragile planet. If these Trump supporters really wanted to go the right thing they would be calling for global government

    http://www.hipforums.com/forum/topic/466429-the-need-for-social-global-governance/

But many of them have been so bamboozled by wealth’s propaganda machines that they thing that is a left wing global conspiracy to bring in a illuminati led New World Order

No wonder Trump personally thanked Alex Jones for his help in the election

Twitter has become a kind of full time virtual argument. It allows millions of people who would otherwise not be in each other's shit, to happily jab at each other. MySpace crashed and burned because of how fast their platform descended into this. It was poorly moderated, so the crap just spun out of control and people fled.

Facebook has been like an extension of school bullying and family feuds gone mainstream. Adding politics to social media was eventual, and unfortunate. It made the whole thing into a huge manipulated mess. So now you don't even know if the person you're arguing with might actually be someone you'd otherwise like. If you hadn't met in a 24/7 shitstorm.

Now the moderation has evolved into absolute control and has become the den of narcissists and power-hungry assholes. Not all of them of course, but when you have the CEO directing shit in the trenches, it's pretty bad. Watching it spill over into the regular, "mainstream" (in their dreams) media has been interesting. Who would have figured that so many in the press would lose whole careers over a freakin "tweet"?

I can't segue back to Trump, I'll take the warning points.

You're obviously a believer of evolution or the big bang theory, in whichever case I have two questions for you! #1, If man evolved from apes why are there still apes? #2 Are you aware that the big bang theory involves a huge explosion, and that life isn't created by explosions because explosions are created by combustion, which involves immense heat, AKA, fire? Fire destroys all living things! Let me add that the Bible says, man has dominion over animals! All animals killed on legitimate licensed safari's are donated to poor villages for food. Christians can't be held accountable for things non Christians do!

#1 Species don't inherently replace other species they descended from. There's a few million years in between hominins descending from apes (as I assume you are characterizing the label) and the arrival of humans. In that timeframe, several factors such as bipedalism afforded hominins to explore different ecological niches.

#2 The title "Big Bang" might be considered a misnomer but it's not so much about an "explosion" as we may think of it in the case of bombs and such. It's more to do with the rapid expansion of space from a proposed singluarity.

Oh, bingo, so the bible says that, does it? I never read the bible....My dad always called it the greatest piece of fiction ever written...and I had other fictional pieces I wanted to read instead......like Shakespeare.
...so people eat that up...and believe it...no wonder the world is a heartless place....but guess what, dude, my heart says differently than the bible says....and yes, I am a big believer of evolution....

    Man didn't evolve from apes.

Life came much later, many many many times later than the big bang. (Which is only one theory).

you really should have put that in more simple terms that someone of his intelligence level could understand.

some monkeys came down from the trees. those monkeys evolved to their environment.
some monkeys stayed in the trees and did not evolve because they were already built to survive in trees.

Liberals are in desperate disarray. They can't figure out what's occurring.

Another FACT: Democrats were directly responsible for David Duke's election to congress. Congressional Republicans disavowed him.

BTW, while I have no idea whether this is true: a source whom I trust and has always been reliable told be that Duke as repudiated his KKK affiliation. I hope it's true. Everyone can be redeemed. But I haven't accessed Duke's Website to see if he has become an authentic Christian who believes all are created in His image.

I understand, i thought you were referring to people who use social media for their own agenda, not the people who actually own and moderate social media.

As a generality, those who demand tolerance want tolerance for only their agendas. They're hostile to those holding differing opinions.
