Just his general demeanour in this last debate, who are the people on his team prepping/advising him on this? Are they doing anything, or just sitting by the sidelines sipping chardonnay?

At least advise him to smile once in a while, throw in an "it's an honour to serve the public/ I'm so grateful for the privilege" once in a while like Hillary does.

He just came off sounding like sour miserable such and such most of the time

 

Those who voted for Trump are directly tied into supporting his shenanigans, and the blame must be shared due to their lack of foresight into what he'd do at the current stage of the campaign. It's embarrassing for the Republican party, and I bet you it's really making Republican politicians really question what values their electorate really holds.


On the other hand, Obamacare largely doesn't work as well as it could have because too many states opt-ed out of the system (mostly Republican controlled states) mind you.

However in my personal case, I have to only pay $100 approx a month for a very decent plan, and also I personally put myself in decent health too compensate for what my lifestyle need in terms of number of trips to the doctor etc.

Given that in an alternative number crunch pre-2008, where Obamacare doesn't exist, I would have had to pay about $1000 a month with very high deductible for coverage, at this same point in time in an alternate 2016.

Sorry but for someone who works approx 38-40 hours a week, the former is much more preferred and shows a benefit because of the Affordable Care Act. So when people complain that it's bad for them, I have to disagree, it's made the situation better.

Just like with feminism there is a sensible variety and a variety that takes it to the extreme. It is not really right or helpful to portray the whole left as people who think everything is sexist, racist and overplaying the guilt card.
Well it could be helpful, depending on what you are trying to accomplish with it. If one is convinced the right of the political spectrum has much better ideas for instance. If not, and you're not a convinced 'leftist' either it is better to look past a left vs. right depiction of things. Well, if one would be clearly leaning to either the left or the right it would still be the wise thing to do. Seeing things strong enough like that is bound to cause distorted or oversimplified convictions.

That is not the message of the left at all. That is "safe space" liberals. They take it the extreme you mentioned. The thing Republicans get wrong is believing those kind of people are accepted on the other side. In general they are not because what they want is for free speech to sacrificed for the sake of their feelings. Like it's too difficult to deal with people who don't agree with you so they are not allowed to disagree with you.

Does it work any better to pretend these things NEVER happen? That is the vibe I get sometimes. Like you are a racist because you said racism exists. If we don't talk about it or see then it's not real. That is the way an ostrich deals with things. People need to be honest about were society is. And that is some people still hold racist or sexist views. Some of these people are white some are not.
