I just do the porn cause it's easier. I am sure with most people that's the case. If it starts taking over your life where you're up all night looking at it (same goes for the candy crush guy) then it's a problem. There were times where I masturbated at least 4-6 times a day, not just with porn but with men too. Sometimes you just need it. What I would do is masturbate so much that you can't go anymore! Haha. I know it doesn't work that way, but it's worth a shot.

(Also love the Glen Quagmire image where he discovers porn, that was priceless!)

Pretty easy to define what a real person is. I think even you know that. Healthy I suppose has a level of companionship beyond sex. Probably why people classify things as FWB or committed. Some people have nothing more than sex to offer. Porn usualy gives men unrealistic expectations of females and they are let down. They are not more clam they are more upset dealing with reality.

I don't see the religious aspect of it or the pseudo alt-right science. Either of these say porn is bad since it's not the man's place. A real man can just get real sex. According to these people your brain will rot if you jerk it. That's silly and it says something about their self esteem. Often the men who shame masturbation the most do it themselves often.

There is just better things to do with your time. Spending seed with a mate is not the same with yourself. It's old world knowladge that predates the Christian shame or insecure masculinity of the modern world. It's not bad but it's also not good for your enlightenment.

You can say the same for your game analogy if you was causing you to not interact with people. Porn, games, many things are "addictive" now since people will do them over anything else. It's not actual addiction it's pleasure seeking. Logically as you put the bar for masturbation ruining your life is high but it does exist.

Too much of anything is unhealthy; that's a given when you say "too much." One can drink enough pure water to cause serious damage to the body.

As to your proposition that in the age of the internet it's too easy to get addicted, I'll dispute that. First, the use of porn features into some obsessive and compulsive disorders, but it can't be classified as an "addiction." Moreover, the whole purpose of pornography, video or otherwise, is to facilitate and enhance masturbation, and there is no evidence that masturbation is any more frequent and common today than it ever was before.

Your own use of porn is a choice you make each time you do so. You do it because you like it. Blaming anyone else for your tastes in porn and for your choices about how you spend your time, isn't healthy. Because you realize that your behaviors are getting in the way of things that you consider to be healthy and more consistent with healthy living, you have an obligation to get some help. There are lots of ways of aligning your actions and decisions about how you spend your time with the things that you say are important in your life. One is to see a therapist.

For now, if you're mostly happy enjoying what you watch and how much time you spend doing it, and until you see significant negative consequences in your major life activities and your own personal accomplishments, you'll keep doing what you're doing. However, it is best to realign your behaviors with what you say is important to you before you hit rock bottom, but that's a decision that each of us has to make for ourselves.

One thing we can say with certainty about porn in the internet age is that porn is more available to children than it was before, and that it has helped form (or deform) the views and attitudes about human sexuality among people who weren't already adults when the internet came into common popular usage in the mid-1990s. However, also available in the internet age is a growing body of scholarly research and factual information about human sexuality, available to anyone who wants to search for it. It all comes down to a matter of choice as to what you want to look at and look for, and you make your own choice each day.
