Are Any Of Your Interested/fascinated By Sociopaths?

i find aggressiveness more then annoying, and its dominance being tyranny, i would certainly prefer not to have thin skinned narcissists in positions of authority. even dog catcher, let alone potus.

 

I'm Interested/ fearful of people that lack empathy.

Internet trolls on personality tests have more similarities to a classic sociopath than of a "normal" person.

But yeah, id be interested in talking to one. If you could ever trust that the things they told you were the truth.

 

I'm late to this but yeah. I find the psychology behind mass shooters interesting, although I don't think we understand a lot about it yet.

I don't think music and movies have anything to do with it. Video games? Maybe, I haven't looked into it. I don't think playing violent video games excessively is healthy (not talking about the casual gamer here) but I have no idea if anyone has ever proven a link between video games and mass killing.

I think media attention of Columbine probably influenced the shootings that came after it

unredressed victimization of bullying, compounded of those other factors, not by exposure to them, but when they're the only examples of how to deal the perp recognizes or is familiar with. remember they're already unstable from being or perceiving themselves to be, but often actually are, either victims of bullying, or have some other major disappointment in their lives. since they are often adolescent or young adult males, lack of sexual fulfillment may also be often a factor.

 

I tend not to blame entertainment on such tragedies. It's an easy scapegoat for the media to blame movies and music but I think there are likely many other, more immediate issues, which contribute to these types of incidents, namely upbringing and experience among peers.

 

i don't blame being exposed to something, but i do blame as a factor, when its the only thing you're exposed to. for example children who aren't too bright who's parents aren't too bright either and all they ever let their children see is war movies. don't tell me THAT kid don't have a whole lot of strikes against his staying out of trouble.

i've watched several manson docs over and over and over again. fascinated as one would fin maggots fascinating

 

I recently learned about the toolbox killers. sick fucks!!!!! but interesting none the less

being interested in the kind of world we all have to live in, i am interested in the cultural mechanics that cause them to be, and how and what can be changed to prevent this.

 

I'm not very interested in sociopaths and murder(er)s.
What I am interested in is unsolved strange cases of missing people.
Now I could read about those for hours.

 

mystery stories are fun. the only bad part about them is someone usually has to turn out to have done something wrong and be punished, often by death themselves, for doing so.
but i do like, trying to solve the puzzle of the evidence. mysteries and the kind of science fiction that is about everyday life on alien worlds in alien cultures, where people have evolved in totally different forms then we have as humans, these are my favorite kinds of stories.
