Man, another great talent gone.

lol I was thinking the same thing. I think HF should go even more purple for the week.

 

I only meant that I won't be basing any personal opinions of what he might have been up to based on rumors. Celebrity rumors are almost never accurate.

Always thought he sounded like bolan..still do, he was a glam rocker of another time, rip Prince.

4/23/16 Twenty-two years after its release, Prince's "Purple Rain" is back in theaters following the musician's death.

AMC Theatres announced Friday that 87 of its U.S. theaters will play Prince's 1984 cult classic film beginning Saturday and running through Thursday.

The film was an unlikely box office hit when it was first released, grossing $68.4 million. Its soundtrack went on to sell more than 25 million copies.

I think they could do a movie about his life. Get Ben Stiller or Tom Cruise to play him. Just as long as they get the chest hair right.

Never saw a performance of his that I didn't want to watch again and again.

For those with access to Sirius XM satellite radio (western hemisphere), channel 50 is playing nothing but Prince all weekend.

Like nearly all successful artists, Prince made singles mostly for the general public, and made album tracks to please himself and hardcore fans. Those who are familiar only with his hits may discover several new sides to his creativity if you listen to one of the channels or stations currently playing a lot of album tracks mixed in with the hits that everybody knows.

 

It's really sad. I remember coming up on mushrooms this one time. My friend was getting ready for work and she wasn't tripping but she knew that I would be so she put on a Prince album. I had an affinity for him since then. When I was growing up he was still on the radio with Diamonds and Pearls or Cream.

 

I just realized something kind of eerie today. In the song "Lets' Go Crazy" the intro ends with the lines "In this world it's much harder than the afterworld, You're on your own," Then the next verse in the song is talking about "The Elevator". His life ended alone in an elevator."

Ben Stiller seems like an excellent choice to me!

 

Not my cuppa tea - But - a most talented musician, writer and performer - leaving behind a void for many, however, his legacy will live on

 

At least his death was more dignified than Elvis' was.
