Um... where the hell have you been?
The Dead have become the voice for young wannabe hippies, worldwide!

I mean, it's super evident on this board... :(

With all that out of the way, I only really like their stuff from the mid-to-late 60s. Everything else by them bores me...

what do you mean where the hell have I been? Not here all the time as I have a life outside the net so sorry if I offended you! People here complain about them all the time!

Geez, lighten up man! ;) I don't know what got your panties in a wrinkle just because I said it was refreshing to hear someone's love for the Dead this morning! Let's just share the love!

soulrebel51: alright man look. your comment about the "young wannbe hippies" first off...your 17! how can you talk about being over someone when so many people could protest your along side them? dont judge people for their age. ive known 16 year olds that have been following their shows with their parents and have more knowlege about their work than me, and ive been listening to them for many years. Also, who are you to say their "wannabe hippies" whats a true hippie to you? i mean seriously. You are what you are. If they want to be the way they are, how are they wanting to be something their not? i know if im hungry i dont get called a wannabe when im off eating a taco or something. lol. just lighten up man. Lifes too short to be living it criticizing people all the time for something that doesnt involve you to begin with. let things go man. peace.

guitarslinger: im really happy to hear you say that. its really nice to hear people say good things about something you too hold close to you. I have been listening to them for years, and they never seem to stop amazing me. even with old songs! :) i suggest Mama Tried, Friend of the Devil, Going Down the Road, Jack Straw, Dancing in the street,St. Stephen,China Cat Sunflower>I know you rider, and Dark Star....omg Dark Star changed my life. Keep listening. :) Peace

St. Stephen for me. I've seen some kick ass shows and that song is usually played. It hold many memories for me.

Box of Rain is one of my favs too. It hits me in a way I can't explain.
