Hippies of the '70s, how accurate are TV shows like That '70s Show or movies like Dazed and Confused to your actual experiences in the '70s? Obviously, hippies from the '60s can answer too but I feel like these shows may have centered more on kids that would have been the hippies of the '60s younger brothers and sisters.

In the 70's we were considered Stoners... Not Hippies.

that 70's show stopped trying to have anything to do with the 70's after the first season.

Where I lived we were known as "freaks".

As far as That 70's Show - I noticed that the clothing is very accurate.

I loved the Rundgren references in the first season. I wasn't alive in the '70s but sometimes it feels like I was and it's just a faded memory.

Thats a good question, I love that 70's show and dazed and confused is one of my favorite movies. Taking woodstock is awsome to. I'd say that was pretty accurate then again i wasn't alive then.

I was a 70's hippie. The Sixties were actually from 1964 to about 1974. Probably the most accurate depiction of hippies was the Woodstock Movie, since it was real. Another good one was the Grateful Dead Movie, filmed in 1974.

I have never seen a single episode of the 70's Show. I never heard anything good about it, so I never watched. Hippies didn't watch much TV. I did see Dazed and Confused, but I can't remember anything about it. I guess I was stoned.
