If you're looking for an internet cruiser with a lot of space, you can do it with about any laptop made within last 3 years. As I see it, your most likely bottlenecks are IO speed, CPU speed, and then much further down RAM. Assuming 4 gb minimum. I'd suggest getting an older one with a better cpu, gutting the hard drive and putting in a solid state. I scorded a toshiba with a 4710hq and a broken screen for $200 off ebay. With a $50 screen and a $60 solid state. There are very few 2016 laptops that can match my two year old baby. http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i7-4710HQ+%40+2.50GHz
I've a net book that I'm willing to try drastic measures on, but not being a computer person, just a computer user, I don't quite grasp how reloading from an Internet download would work if I wiped the drive.
