Thanks @old tiger - I'll take room no 10! Hello to all my new neighbours! I don't tend to post pictures of myself online, but sometimes I post art pictures I find online that represent how I feel at the time, I hope that's ok? I haven't been on for a while because sometimes I let life get in the way, I get stressed and I stop relaxing, having fun and enjoying myself. All work and no play is not good for your soul. I want to feel like this... But most often end up feeling like this... I really need to chill a little and reclaim my life more. It's not as easygoing as I would like it to be. Sometimes I'm so busy chasing my tail and getting nowhere. Sorry if I'm bringing your house down a little. Perhaps we should have a party? @Scorpio Kenny fancied a party. Parties are fun. Perhaps we should have a housewarming party? Any excuse to get to know everyone and have some fun! :clown: :chef: :drummer: :guitarist: :gossip: unk: :crowngrin:

Hello, my lovelies! Sorry I've disappeared for a long while, I told myself I needed an internet detox to focus on school and getting my life in order. I recently took my GED finals and passed, I have one more final to take and then I'll be a high school graduate and able to move on toward college! I'm really excited, trying to figure out what exactly I want to do with my life. Ultimately, I know that I want to open a farm called Healing Hearts Sanctuary, where I will rescue, rehabilitate, and retrain animals of every variety from situations of abuse, neglect, illness, etc and train them as therapy animals to be utilized in the psychotherapy of individuals facing obstacles such as homelessness, parolees, eating disorders, addiction, depression, physical/mental illnesses and disabilities, etc etc. I think animals have a special way of healing people when humans just can't. Until I have my own farm, I've thought about getting certified as a Certified Animal Assisted Therapy Professional through the North Carolina Animal Behavior Institute, and I'd like to get a degree as an animal-assisted mental health counselor some day. I'd also really like to be a life coach or work in a tea shop. I figure, why not do it all? Aha. I hope everyone is doing well, I look forward to stopping by a lot more

@Moonglow====HAPPY(belated)BIRTHDAY to you.... :daisy: :bandana: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbt974GsXBs
Hey Hippie People Friends! I've been away taking care of stuff here at home and dealing with having new kitties decide this is their home...that is grown cats. There is plenty of room outside...we have about 3 acres in the country, but they all want the back porch. Which is fine IF Sam (the original back porch resident) was a little more willing to share. mercysakes I'm quite certain I'm crazy...quitting my job and suddenly having to become my 96 yr old mother's 24/7 caretaker (she's well but old and is beginning to need a lot of help physically to get around) hasn't torn up my nerves nor broken my heart like these grown cats that have appeared here/apparently been abandoned. Both are extremely tame...the female is beautiful and Most Probably now "with kittens" :bigcry: :dizzy2: . The tom is just as tame but Sam has given him a hard time and whipped his butt (and his ears) rather soundly. So rather than call the animal shelter (and know they will just "euthanize" (kill) the cats) I'm making a place for them as best I can...now if Sam will only cooperate. I need to do so much in this house, I'm both embarrassed and made tired by the thoughts of it. So, I decided since I haven't posted here in a bit, I'd come post. lol
well..Lyyn...it's not all about cats in this house,is it?.it's more about how we feel inside ourselves.. life is perhaps the lessons in life we all go through perhaps?but also the fact.=to learn to understand.. that for all of us=life is different..and then a mental support...is often needed.. but in fact also a positive vibe..which can uplift us to such positive levels...we al need this..you know... but a real positive push directly to the brain...yeah...I go for it..thats what we do in this thread.. :bandana:
in 1973..was it the river for a lot of us??oh?? and it is now?.the sea..yeah.yeah... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pU00jvfCUJk&feature=youtu.be
well...my cat Ella went crazy today.... :dizzy2: I did not see too many housemates..i saw Lynn shortly with one of her cats... and Laci did have a new hair colour...piece is very quiet in her room next to me... i believe she took off on a holiday..I have to talk to Shameless about some canned stuff she makes... Maura is still not much around...Moonglow is such a nice lady...she was shining on her birthday... Roamy tamed her goat..but still i'm very careful with my leather sandals... Valley Wolf is much into books...he said he will bring along his Fillipino wife if ever a party will go on.. Kenny is quiet==eye trouble,he said,pensfan is very busy and tyrso feels very happy in the basement... I heard Mally playing some Dylan and David Bowie music in the garden..that bloke knows about music.. that newcomer Art girl..i met her the other day...very bright intelligent person she sure is... I do hope you all got the guts to scribble few lines in this thread. :bulb: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ug8Dcz3kyOA&feature=youtu.be Tiger
That is just funny. It is how I envision our ancestors getting mates. Knock them out and carry them home.
My hair is brown, red, and blonde right now I'd like to dye it again soon, not sure what color. I'm having one of those days where I can't look good to save my life Hair won't straighten the exact way I want, makeup was a mess, it just sucks lol. Oh well
I am actually thinking about the WHY?HOW?WHY NOT?WHEREFOR? in life..we all have a goal,a destiny.. I believe that life is a feeling about how we feel inside..and very often we all went through difficult periods..and for a lot of us==that's exactly a lesson..for some of us a very hard one..because life is different for all of us..fact is=if we need help...we should be here on this thread for each other...it uplifts our spirit in life to know...that friends are around..just giving each other a helping hand is a push towards freedom,peace,love, within ourselves..for a true friend i would walk through a fire..I think computers,social media..are a benefit for all of us...if we know how to use them..the word false friends come into my mind...but anyway...true friends...will always be true friends...even after an argument or being at daggers for some silly stuff...what myself is concerned== I am very busy planning a Japan trip in April==Osaka-Kyoto-Nara-Nagoya-Kanazawa-Tokyo and back to Osaka... I love travelling..and i am very happy to know that my kid brother follows in my footsteps==he and his wife are planning trips to Norway,California etc...in French they say=chapeau..life is SPIRIT==spirit is...Oh yeah..and this thread...however...it will always stay alive..and be a spirit.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7plNRs5kwgE&feature=youtu.be
ticket booked and confirmed...Lufthansa flight 1 April====no April joke..hmm.. departure Brussels=11.05 a.m..arrival Frankfurt 12.10h departure Frankfurt 13.30h...arrival Osaka Kansai 07.20h(next day)Japan) return 21 April..after visits to Osaka-Kyoto-Nara-Nagoya-Kanazawa-Tokyo... oh...I'm leaving on a friday(hihi) I'm a happy travelling Tiger... :bandana: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRH8M-VyFHs&feature=youtu.be
Hey Tiger Mate Enjoy your trip I have never Been There Bet its Nice ( been to China a few times though Lovely People ) Take plenty pictures Mate
As a Dakota yuwipi medicine man I know relates from spirit in ceremony: "Focus on life." This is far more than just focusing on living a life---it is also about focusing on yourself as a living thing, and more importantly focusing on all other living things as living things. This is a very important lesson in today's world where we are so obsessed with objective reality that all things, and everyone, becomes nothing more than objects. On a seperate note-----will you have a fixed itinerary in Japan, or are you free to explore and do what you want----which is the way I often travel. I suggest taking the keihan line from Osaka to Kyoto and get off at Fushimi Inari Mae (I forget the exact name of that station---it could be Fushimi Inari, or even Fushimi Inari jinja, or Fushimi Inari Jinja mae-----there might be two Fushimi Inari stations next to each other and you will want the one that is walking distance to the Fushimi Inari Taisha----the head shrine of the Fushimi Inari sect of Shinto. It is an incredible place---a giant shrine that covers the whole mountain with paths up and down through the forests lined with torii gates. There are large shrines, small shrines, graveyards filled with old samurai, and lords and what not. It is one of the most spiritual places I have ever been in Japan. If you get on the south side of the mountain and look over to then next mountain or so, you can see a feudal castle poking above the trees. On the North side of the mountain you can see Kyoto, and near the lower part of the next mountain you can see Kiyomizudera, a buddhist temple. There are stands here and there that sell food and stuff. There is one where there is a guy that will paint your name out of dragons with a brushes and ink (if he is still there----I haven't been there since the late 80's.) There is a stand that sells yakitori the traditional way----made with sparrow rather than chicken---one of the few places, if not the only place, you will find that. For a side trip from Kyoto, I might suggest the tea growing district of Uji----you go around the mountain from Kyoto----then go to the Zen temple Manfukuji. If you wanted to, you could actually spend the night there and meditate with the monks----but probably not something for a short trip to Japan. It is a beautiful mountain temple though. In Osaka you probably want to visit the shopping arcades----The Namba district along the Midosuji Line (Subway). Also Umeda is a cool shopping area, a lot of it underground. The Midosuji line is one of the ones that goes through Umeda. Nara is not too far out of Osaka---about the same time as Kyoto----it has a lot of very old shrines and Imperial buildings (it is the oldest capital of Japan). Todaiji has the giant Bronze buddha---the biggest in the world, and it is covered by what I remember to be the biggest wooden structure in the world----or maybe just the biggest wooden temple. In Tokyo there is the temples and shrines around Ueno---along with some good shopping arcades for tourists. I'll try to think of a few other places.
@Valley Wolf..thanks for the useful information on Japan.. if there is one dude here on this forum who knows about Japan in depth...then it's you... :bulb: i have chalked out an itinerary...and usually i fix my accomodations online beforehand.. i hate it when i have to look for lodging without knowing any direction,whether i'll get place or not etc... in Japan ample of cheaper hostels available...so...I go for that option...i will put a full rapport in my blog after i come back home.. i will try to follow this program==3 days Osaka+around,3 days Nara,3 days Kyoto,1 or 2 days Nagoya or Kanazawa,4 days Tokyo.. just 3 weeks is NOT enough...but...I'll have an idea about Japan anyway...sayonara...
