Here it is not like an ice skating ring, it literally is one :D

    From this morning:

Yeah, it's quite remarkable in the netherlands: yesterday in the south it was also about 7C but where I am it was -2C. We rarely have this much difference in temperature in this small country.

    Russia too.

And of course Antarctica but there are only a couple of researchers living there (but that doesn't make it less cold :p)

The northern part of Siberia where you're getting into the Arctic Circle would be colder, but most of the population is in southern Siberia. The Yukon Territory is colder than southern Siberia. Even Nanavut has an average temperature of -45C. I don't know what the lowest recorded Siberian temps are but Yukon Territory is somewhere around −60 °C (−76 °F). Yikes! I'd like to see Irmy in her fashionable leggings up there! :-D

    Hello,

polar bear leggings are a thing! They even come with optional polar bear smell ;).

Or they kill you and wear your skin after they appreciated your intestines ;)

Well, the lowest temperature I was in was about -33C to -35C. I remember it as not too bad, because the air was quite dry. That was way more pleasant than, let's say -5C and lots of moisture in the air.

    Regards
    Gyro

So I just went out for groceries for the first in 2 days. Man, these pavements are deadly! If there's snow it is ok but everywhere else it is just ice. I walked on the bicycle track and the road, which are both sprinkled with salt. But I already made a spinner when I stepped out of the front door! :D Didn't hit the ground so it is all good :p

You know the old laughing at the guy who slips on a banana peel? If you like that kind of stuff you would have the time of your life here :D

edit: basically it is a free comedy show on the streets here (until someone breaks their skull)

Nooo, I'm always happy when it snows. I am much more comfortable in winter months. When I heat up, my body sweats profusely and it's very uncomfortable and can be embarrassing.
