Most people can't afford to sue big oil... Even if the facts are all there, I would say the majority of lawyers wouldn't touch it.

You might be right about lawyers. There are lots of news articles that claim methane migration has nothing to do with fracking.

Many of the burning water faucet situations were Toluene, not Methane. Toluene would not be naturally occurring in well water but it is one of the fracking chemicals used. (Toluene is a paint thinner, by the way, used for many other applications also)

I can't a find a good source for a Toluene lighting video! Lol. I see that it is flammable. The EPA seems to feel that fracking is ok. http://www.cnbc.com/2015/06/04/epa-says-no-evidence-that-fracking-has-widespread-impact-on-drinking-water.html Vermont and New York both banned it. Do you know of an article where Toluene was the substance coming from the faucet?

With regards to well water testing, each time a home is sold, and financed by a conventional, government mortgage, the water is required to be tested for chemical pollutants.

If your well is "tainted" the sale of your home is off.

If people are unable to buy and sell homes in your community, housing values crash. Then banks lose the security for all of their mortgages. Lawyers lose out on real estate closings.

Pretty soon the community is in an uproar and then the EPA is called in. Then mitigation starts. The lawsuits. The class actions

Polluted drinking water is a big thing and is not kept secret.

    I live in New Jersey.

We have no fracking here, or in New York State where the State Assembly voted no to development.

The nations can't control their spending - which is why they get caught in this trap everytime oil prices fall

So death by quick massive fireballs or death by slow poisons to the food and water supply, months of cancer, stress, probably poisoned reproductive systems meaning the species is polluted into massive retardation and desperation for those who are left.

No there is no better off, just a menu of choices for the same result.

Therefore I think any action we choose to do is neutral.

Here in New Jersey, Gov Christie is collecting 800 Million Dollars from Exxon-Mobile as a settlement for pollution.

The original judgement was much larger. None of it for fracking though.
