That is what I was told to use in the lawnmower. Is that why? So that if it sits for a while it will still be good and crank easily?

I was thinking if kitty was eating it, the baby was got the snake rather than the other way around...but no?

my friends husband makes beautiful birdhouses...so I bought 3 for my 3 sisters.....one will have a tiny Toronto vintage maple leafs flag and Croatian coat of arms...the second will have ''box office'' on a tiny sign....thinking of ''grammas place'' for the third one...i'm downloading proper images of signs to laminate on some ultra thin shims I bought from lee valley...shims are the size and thickness of a sturdy business card....had them a year and finally found a reason to use them

fressh gas explodes better and makes things easier to start...ethanol oxidizes quick and ruins rubber fuel lines and lots of internal parts in carbs

it might not help things "turn easier" because small engines use splash oiling...while it sits every little speck of oil is being pulled to the bottom by gravity...plus fuel is evaporting from the carb

old trick to get a mower to start was to tip it over onto the carb side to get fuel up to carb...but they dont really make that style of carb system now everything is different

I've always heard people say they've had problems using ethanol but I've used ethanol on every gas powered engine I've owned for over 20 years......every chain saw, mower, brush chipper, pick-up truck, bucket truck....you get the idea....a lot of engines.....can't think of a single problem I've had from running ethanol. Maybe I've just been lucky but that's been my experience.

Although we do have a chipper that sometimes won't start after it's been sitting for a while. We've had to drain the fuel and put new gas in....then it fires right up. You can smell the old fuel and tell it's bad but we aren't talking about it sitting for months. I'm talking about the fuel going bad in 2-3 weeks.....and only on that chipper. My best guess is that it must be something to do with the tank but I can't imagine what it would be. Chemical reaction of some sort? It never did that until about a year or year and a half ago. I don't think that it's because of ethanol though. We're using the same fuel on everything else and it's fine.
